Stephen King's Carrie might not have anything on Lifetime's upcoming screamer Killer Prom, a scary story that's coming to life with the acting talents of Yvonne Zima (ex-Daisy Carter, The Young and the Restless).
The terrifying film follows teenager Cayleigh Wilson, whose excitement over being a senior in high school is shattered when she loses her mother in a tragic boating accident. Things start looking up when her deceased mother's hip and beautiful distant cousin, Sienna Markle (Zima), moves in with Cayleigh and her father. Sienna gets Cayleigh excited about her life again, especially her senior prom -- the biggest high school event! Sienna will stop at nothing to make it a perfect night for her young cousin... including murder.
As CBS soap fans know, Zima is the perfect person to step into the shoes of an unhinged character. Her Y&R character Daisy is the daughter of famous soap villainess Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and was described by former head writer Maria Arena Bell as "Sheila in a new form." As fans of the soap may recall, during Daisy's 2009-2012 stint in Genoa City, she raped Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), became pregnant with a baby girl, and abandoned the newborn in a church! She also heartlessly walked out as Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) miscarried, among other horrendous things.
After leaving Y&R in 2012, Zima went on to appear in shows like Masters of Sex, StartUp, and American Horror Story.
Killer Prom, which also stars Mark Lutz, is set to premiere on Sunday, April 19, at 8/7C on Lifetime.
