Noah Newman is coming home! The Young and the Restless actor Robert Adamson will be reprising his role as Nick and Sharon's son next week.

Rumors have been swirling that Robert Adamson would be stepping back into the role of The Young and the Restless' Noah Newman, and the news has finally been confirmed. The actor will be reprising the role of Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon's (Sharon Case) son for a short story arc next month.

Soap Opera Digest reports that Adamson will be back on the canvas for several episodes beginning Thursday, September 3. In an interview with the outlet, the actor reveals that he wasn't sure when he would be able to reprise the role of Noah due to the work stoppage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Just when I figured that the opportunity to play Noah again had disappeared, production started up again and I got the call from Y&R," he says.

Adamson originally stepped into the role of Y&R's Noah in 2012 and was let go in 2018. At the time of his exit, he shared that he didn't believe it was "officially goodbye" and that he would "personally be back anytime they wish, schedule permitting." Indeed, he made a few short return appearances throughout 2018 and returned again at the beginning of 2020 for Newman Enterprises' 50th anniversary celebration.
