Though unconfirmed by the network, Soap Central has learned that Tomy Dunster (Juan Pablo Renato Ruiz de Vasquez) will vacate his role on All My Children by the end of the spring. In a statement on his official web site, Dunster announced that his contract, which only was only for nine months, had not been renewed by the network. The news may not come as much of a surprise to All My Children viewers as Dunster has not been seen on-screen since early February. Still, the actor's photo remains in the show's opening credits and there's yet to be a definitive statement on or off-screen regarding the character's future.Dunster joined the cast of All My Children in July 2003 as the older brother of Carlos Reyes, played by Maximillian Alexander. Carlos was killed off earlier this year amid rumblings of off-screen trouble by Alexander. Since that time, Dunster's character seemingly has hit a dead-end: a romance with Greenlee duPres was largely disliked by viewers.A spokesperson for All My Children declined to comment on Dunster's status, saying online that the actor remains under contract with the show. It is unclear at this time if Dunster will return for a farewell episode or if his character will simply be written off.
