All My Children alum Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley Santos) has broken her silence about costar, Michael Strahan's, exit from Live! with Kelly and Michael and will return to work on Tuesday.
She may be all smiles when she's on-screen, but that isn't always the case for former All My Children star Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley Santos), who reportedly was "livid" about being blindsided by the news her Live! with Kelly and Michael co-star Michael Strahan is exiting the ABC syndicated series. Not being told the big news ahead of time created a drama-filled situation in which the popular star suddenly disappeared, but it seems the rain clouds are moving over, and her sunny face will be shining once more.
In a statement to the Live! staff on late Friday, Ripa addressed her recent absence from the series she joined in 2001 and Stahan's decision to leave the show to join Good Morning America. "Sorry for this late Friday night email," she wrote. "I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information. Your kindness, support and love has overwhelmed me. We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning. Love, Kelly."

As for Stahan, a source tells People that he is looking forward to having Kelly back in her host chair and "he never wanted any of this to happen." The source adds that Stahan was "prepared to go on by himself if he had to, but he is relieved that it all worked out."
