Y&R star's scary real-life drama: Chrishell Stause receives death wishes from rabid Justin Hartley fans

The Young and the Restless' Chrishell Stause (Bethany Bryant) opens up about the scary messages she gets from fans of her newly famous fianc, This Is Us star Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman).

Kentucky native Chrishell Stause isn't a stranger to outlandish situations that involve alcohol, murder, and maybe even a combination of both. After all, she spent eleven years playing All My Children's Amanda Dillon, two years playing Days of our Lives' Jordan Ridgeway, and had a stint on The Young and the Restless as Bethany Bryant -- all roles that had their fair share of outrageous circumstances. But thirteen years of soap opera experience couldn't have prepared her for the real-life drama she's now experiencing as fiance to former Y&R star Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman), who has become a household name thanks to his starring role on NBC's hit series This Is Us.

The actress dropped by the popular LadyGang podcast and revealed that she frequently gets death wishes from fans of the man she's been dating since 2014.

"I mean, you could post the most loving, beautiful photo like, 'Look at this rainbow. I hope you all have a great day,' and someone's like, 'I want you to die. Justin could do so much better than you,'" she shares, with a laugh, of the surprising activity on her social media accounts. "It's just one of those things, you know? It depends on the day I'm having. Some days, I'll be like, 'Oh that's so funny...delete.' And other days, I'm like, 'I'm going to find you and hunt you down!...It just depends on if I've had my coffee yet, mostly."

The scary Internet messages may be annoying, but Stause says the truly perturbing situations actually happen in person.

"One girl threw her purse at me to be like, 'Hold this,' and stood right next to him, and was like 'I need my picture with you,'" she says, adding: "It's all about the way they approach, and the way they ask. Honestly, if someone's nice and respectful, no problem, I'd love to do it. I love that they're so excited. It's sweet, and they're normally saying really nice things. But you get those other people, whether they're drunk or whether they're just having a moment, and they just act like a jerk because they're so, like, out of body experience. I don't know. But to be honest with you, there have been certain times where you're like, 'Oh. My. God.'"

Luckily, the strong bond she and Hartley share is worth a little fan craziness from time to time.

"It's so ridiculous: he has a daughter, she's twelve, we live together, and there's just so much real life that goes with being with someone for, actually it'll be four years when we get married, and there's just so much real life that goes on there, that someone on Instagram that thinks he's hot and thinks he can do [whatever], it's just silly," she says. "Of course it annoys you on certain days, when you're not feeling good or whatever, so it depends on how you take it. But at the end of the day, you really can't [let it affect you]. Some girl in Iowa that thinks she'd be a better match, it's like, you have to laugh."
