Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway, Days of our Lives; ex-Amanda Dillon, All My Children) reveals that her mother has "1 to 2 months to live" after being diagnosed with the same cancer that killed the actress' father.
Fans are sending thoughts and prayers to soap opera alum Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway, Days of our Lives; ex-Amanda Dillon, All My Children; ex-Bethany Bryant, The Young and the Restless), who is facing an extraordinarily rough time at the moment. In addition to going through a divorce with Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman, Y&R), she just found out that her mother has been diagnosed with lung cancer and has only one to two months to live. Tragically, Stause's father died last April from the same cancer.
Stause took to Instagram on February 4, known as World Cancer Day, with the following message, "I just found out today is #worldcancerday eerily on the same day I found out my mom has 1 to 2 months to live from the same lung cancer that took my dad on Easter. I can't make sense of what life is teaching me yet, but my heart is with every person fighting this horrible disease and every person that it robbed a loved one from."
In April of last year, Stause wrote about her father's death in the caption of a throwback photo on Instagram.
"We lost you today but it was a long terrible battle with cancer that started taking you years ago. I choose to remember you the way you were before it took its hold on you. You are at peace now, and ever the Catholic man at heart, I think you chose Easter for a reason," she wrote, adding, "I grew up in an unconventional family and my dad was a drummer -- the heartbeat of the music. Today we lost the heartbeat of our family but I am happy knowing he took his music to heaven. It just got a lot more rock and roll up there. We love you so much."
Stause got her start in the entertainment world with the role of Amanda Dillon on All My Children, which she played from 2005 to the soap's cancellation in 2011. She took on the role of Jordan Ridgeway in 2013 and has played the character on-again, off-again since that time. She also briefly played the role of Y&R's Bethany Bryant in 2016.
In addition to acting, Stause is also a real estate agent at the Oppenheim Group. Her work is showcased in Selling Sunset, a Netflix reality television show focused on the real estate brokerage that deals in luxury L.A. homes.
