All My Children favorite Vincent Irizarry (ex-David Hayward) saddled up and headed to the wild, wild West for Wild West Chronicles, a Western series starring Gunslingers alum Jack Elliott.
Soap viewers watched him rock out as Guiding Light's Lujack Luvonoczek, drug a boatload of people as All My Children's Dr. David Hayward, and master the piano as Days of our Lives' Deimos Kiriakis, and now fans of actor Vincent Irizarry will have the pleasure of seeing him step back in time and take on the good, the bad, and the ugly in a new Western series called Wild West Chronicles.
The actor took to Instagram to share the news about his new project, along with several photos that show him slicked up 1800s-America-style for his new role.
"What a blast shooting my first western this past week!!!" he shares. "Can't share too much about it at this time, only that it was a wonderful shoot with some fantastic actors and talented crew. The story itself is based on real accounts and people during the late 1800's, yet absolutely relevant today. Looking forward to it airing in the months ahead. Stay tuned!"
Gunslingers and Curb Your Enthusiasm alum Jack Elliott also posted about the project and working with Irizarry, sharing, "Got to joust with the one and only (Emmy winning) Vincent Irizarry yesterday on Episode 6 of the new series. Dude is an absolute Legend. So much fun."
Neither Irizarry nor Elliott specify which series they're referring to, but Elliott previously shared that twelve episodes of his Western docuseries, Wild West Chronicles, were recently picked up by INSP, a network that airs original series, timeless Westerns, action-filled dramas, and films focused on adventure and heroes. And the premise of the project sounds exactly like what Irizarry described in his Instagram post.
According to INSP, Wild West Chronicles brings to life the unforgettable tall tales of the American West with dramatized reenactments and interviews featuring the men and women behind the most headline-worthy stories of the untamed frontier. Every half-hour episode separates the truth from the lore with personal accounts of the events straight from the mouths of the fearless lawmen, ruthless outlaws, and notorious heroes who became legends.
Says Craig Miller, VP of Original Unscripted Programming and Development for INSP, "After piloting the concept earlier this year to an overwhelming positive response, we are thrilled to continue our effort to chronicle many of the powerfully impactful yet little-known stories of the Old West. It was called 'The Wild West' for a reason, and some of these stories are so wild, it's hard to believe they actually happened."
INSP is available nationwide to more than 76 million households via Dish Network (channel 259), DirecTV (channel 364), Verizon FiOS (channel 286), AT&T U-verse (channel 564), and more than 2,800 cable systems.
