AMC's Alicia Minshew scrubs in for new medical role

A post by All My Children's Alicia Minshew (ex-Kendall Hart) makes it look as if she's headed to General Hospital, but the actress is actually guest-starring on The Blacklist.

Former All My Children star Alicia Minshew (ex-Kendall Hart) is getting her doctor on, but (sadly) it's not for a role on General Hospital. Instead, the actress has scrubbed up for a guest-starring stint on The Blacklist.

Minshew, who won over soap opera fans as the feisty daughter of Susan Lucci's Erica Kane, took to Instagram to tease her primetime role as a Hart heart surgeon.

"Just hanging out in scrubs with blood on my face. NOT a good look for me, but loads of fun!" she wrote. "A special thanks for Dr. Audie Liametz for showing me how to perform heart surgery on #TheBlacklist Oh and for helping me shove my crazy puffy hair under that cap!"

Season five of the The Blacklist, which stars James Spader and Megan Boone, is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, September 27, on NBC. Minshew's episode will air Wednesday, October 18. You can check out a sneak preview of her appearance below.

As for what else the Florida native has been up to since leaving AMC, she has had a blast starring on the digital dramas Beacon Hill and Tainted Dreams, as well as television series like Coveting Veronica and Shelter.
