Solo Leveling movie rumors are spreading fast in the anime community. Fans who just finished Season 2 are already talking about what’s coming next. According to new reports, it might not be a third season this time.

The information got leaked when RANSCPP shared that there’s a Solo Leveling movie in progress. Better yet, it might even land in the second half of 2026. If the schedule remains on track, that’s less than a year away. Subsequent sources later corroborate the leak. This leak includes a screenshot of what looks to be a D&C Media Marketing Report.

Production hasn’t started yet. That makes a 2026 release sound a bit too soon. Big anime movies usually take a lot of time to make. Rushing the process could hurt the quality. So while the date sounds exciting, it’s best not to believe it completely.

Why a Solo Leveling Movie Makes Sense

Making a movie instead of going straight to season three actually makes sense. Producers have said that season three might not come out until 2028. That’s a long three-year wait for fans who want more. A movie would be a wonderful way to fill that gap and keep everyone excited.

There's also a financial angle to this Solo Leveling movie plan. Demon Slayer's movies have made over a billion dollars combined. Chainsaw Man's recent film pulled in $141 million. Solo Leveling recently became Crunchyroll's most-viewed anime of all time, so a movie could easily rake in serious cash.

What Could the Story Be About?

Nobody knows for sure what the Solo Leveling movie will actually cover. Some fans think it could adapt the Double Dungeon Arc, where Jinwoo goes back to the dungeon that changed everything. Others wonder if it might be an original story that doesn't follow the manhwa at all.

We know one thing for sure: fans really want more Sung Jinwoo content. Season 2 ended with the Jeju Island arc. There’s still a lot of story left to tell. A Solo Leveling movie could continue from there or show something totally new. Either way, watching Jinwoo level up on the big screen would be wonderful.

The timing might seem rushed, but the Solo Leveling movie makes strategic sense. The anime community is hot right now for theatrical releases. Fans are willing to pack theaters for their favorite shows. And Solo Leveling has proven it can compete with the biggest names in anime.

The Bigger Picture for the Franchise

In the meantime, Netflix is developing a live-action Solo Leveling series with Byeon Woo-seok starring as Jinwoo. Han So-hee could join as Cha Hae-in. This project also does not have a release date yet, but it is a testament to the confidence the studio has in Solo Leveling.

With an anime, hopefully a movie, and even a live-action series in the works, it looks like Solo Leveling is quickly turning into a multimedia juggernaut.

Right now, the Solo Leveling movie hasn’t been officially confirmed. Still, there’s a lot of strong evidence that it’s real. Several leakers have said the same thing, and the D&C report supports it, too. If production starts soon, we might get an official announcement in the next few months.

Conclusion

Fans should probably not get too attached to that 2026 date. If production really hasn’t started yet, finishing everything in time would be a huge challenge. A delay wouldn’t be surprising at all. Still, no matter when it comes out, the Solo Leveling movie is already one of the most anticipated anime films in years.
