The Blue Lock manga, created by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yuusuke Nomura, is currently in its most exciting stage, as the Neo Egoist League has just concluded, and the cast is beginning preparations for the U-20 World Cup. While most fans expected the series to jump straight into the action, the latest installment stands out in an unexpected yet memorable way.
Blue Lock chapter 304 is the most wholesome installment of the series yet, as Isagi returns home to enjoy a short break, spending time with his parents. The recent chapters of the manga have been filled with exhilarating highlights and heartbreaking moments, ranging from Isagi emerging as Blue Lock’s top contender to Nagi’s elimination.
While fans were undoubtedly feeling immersed in the continuous series of thrilling events, it may have been too much to go straight into the training for the U-20 World Cup after the Neo Egoist League. Thankfully, the creators also recognized this and delivered a lighter, more feel-good chapter titled “The Patron of Dreams.”

Blue Lock chapter 304 dives into Isagi’s home life
Isagi’s edginess and intensity during matches have become a source of entertainment for the Blue Lock fandom to poke fun at, especially considering how happy and supportive his parents are. Chapter 304 adds fuel to the fire, with the creators satirizing their own material.
The latest installment kicks off with Isagi enjoying a pork cutlet dish called Tonkatsu at home, while his parents, Iyo and Issei, congratulate him on his achievement in the project. While eating his meal, Isagi explained that there was a considerable gap till the U-20 World Cup and that he was given two weeks off.
Issei began praising Isagi's fame and salary, while Iyo was happy her son made it to the top of Blue Lock. After explaining that the overseas offers he received would only come into effect after the World Cup, Isagi expressed his happiness at achieving his goal of becoming the best in the project.
Following this, Issei started mocking Isagi’s demeanour during the Neo Egoist League through excessive cursing and signature dialogues used by the protagonist. During their friendly banter, a delivery containing DVDs, a plane ticket, and a letter was given to Isagi. Jinpachi Ego sent this, and it was a dedicated task to unlock his next level.
Seeing these, Iyo questioned Isagi on his perception towards Ego, to which the protagonist replied that Ego was weird but trustworthy, and desired to win the World Cup more than anyone. Thinking about his mentor, Isagi crowned Ego his Patron of Dreams.
His parents were pleased with their son’s maturity, and Issei told Isagi that he could always come home no matter how much he changed due to his hardships. After this sweet exchange, Isagi excused himself to watch the videos he received. While initially believing the DVDs were about scoring, he soon discovered a more layered message.
Isagi realized that the compilation sent to him by Ego was meant to teach him about game-changing moments, where the “smell of a goal” was created. Through this, he wished to evolve his game, be it through traps, passes, or goals, and inspire the entire field. The chapter ends with Bachira, Chigiri, and Kunigami receiving assignments of their own.
