What to expect from Blue Lock chapter 306 (speculative)?

Blue Lock chapter 306 will be called “Hello” and marks the first installment in a long time where fans have no idea what to expect. The title doesn't give out any hints, and since the cast is in the midst of their training, it could go in multiple directions.

Most readers are expecting chapter 306 to feature a time skip, where the remaining 23 players reunite at Blue Lock. Since they would have reinvented themselves through Ego's training, “Hello” could signify their reintroduction.

Using the same logic, however, it could also mean that another character fans haven't seen in a long time would be brought back to the fray. Many are hoping for this to be Sae Itoshi, who could be trying to make his way into Ego's team representing Japan.

Blue Lock chapter 305 recap

Chapter 305 continues to focus on the events unfolding during the cast's two-week break after the Neo Egoist League. It begins by featuring Ego, who is lovingly fed late-night Yakisoba by Anri but harshly tells her to keep it to the side.

When Anri questioned Ego on what he was working on restlessly, he explained how he was making the training curriculum and letters for the remaining 23 Blue Lock players. Ego compared it to Anri's preparation of the Yakisoba, where he would spend the upcoming 14 days to find the ingredients to win the World Cup.

Much like Isagi was taught to analyze game-changing moments in the previous installment, the chapter then dives into the assignments provided to the top 23 of the Neo Egoist League. Barou was sent to a university and faced bulky American Football players.

Bachira entered an elementary school under Ego's orders, where he was meant to reconnect with his childhood self by teaching the young students football. Chigiri and Kunigami were told to train in swimming and martial arts, respectively, while Shidou was given free rein to try everything he wanted to do before dying.

As one would expect, this hyperactive footballer immediately went skydiving. Concurrently, Rin Itoshi's advice informed him to look at his ego and that destruction wasn't a desire. As he lay in deep thought about his rivalry with Isagi and Kaiser at a dojo, an old man kept hitting him with a stick, trying to break his concentration.

In the final solo showcase, as Reo Mikage kept having complex feelings about Nagi's elimination, Ego's letter arrived, informing him to master his copying skill and perfectly imitate the surviving 22 players in Project Blue Lock apart from himself. Though 14 days seemed far too little to accomplish such a feat, Reo resolved to push himself and ace the task.

A collage then showed all the other players completing their special training with the hope of becoming the star of the World Cup. The chapter ends by displaying a letter written by Ego placed near the sleeping Anri, praising her Yakisoba but cursing at her for not falling asleep in her own room. Ego's concluding words go on to explain how he doesn't wish to kill the instincts the players developed as strikers but wants to create a chemical reaction that will become the fusion of the new Blue Lock.
