Igaguri shares words of wisdom with Nagi in Blue Lock chapter 310
Blue Lock chapter 310 begins with Igaguri and Nagi taking a walk through the city, where Igaguri reveals that he had gone to Nagi’s school and learned from his classmates that he would be at the arcade. Nagi accuses Igaguri of being a stalker and asks why he came to meet him.
Igaguri poses a question to Nagi about his future in football, to which the Lazy Genius responds that he is unsure. Though Igaguri expected that reply, he urges Nagi to keep playing the sport. He expresses that his motivations are different from Isagi’s and that it is his own selfish egoism, since he was also eliminated along with Nagi.
Igaguri then explains that when he lost in the Neo Egoist League, he was frustrated but happy that he could chase his dream of becoming a pro player. He was satisfied enough with standing on the same stage as other aspirants, regardless of the result.
Following this, Igaguri asks Nagi if he was satisfied, to which the prodigy tries to suggest that people have to give up on certain things. Igaguri immediately refutes this, saying that there are no limits to dreams. He talks about how the contents of a dream are as large as a vessel.
While he could bet his life on the big vessel of becoming a pro, the vessel to become the best in the world was too small. However, Igaguri tells Nagi he is different. After hearing him, Nagi asks him whether he was also approached by Buratsuta to enter the U-20 team through a backdoor, though Igaguri reveals that he received no such offer.
The monk-in-training, however, expresses confusion at Nagi having refused Buratsuta due to the reason that he would be betraying Blue Lock. Igaguri flies into a rage, telling Nagi that his actions and mindset are a betrayal of Jinpachi Ego’s teachings.
Igaguri reminds Nagi that the decision to pass in the Neo Egoist League was the opposite of aiming to become the best striker, and that his choice to turn down Buratsuta was also pathetic. He tells him to give up if his dreams are only that weak.
Igaguri then goes on a passionate monologue, explaining that he left home with the resolve that he would work at a temple if he lost in Blue Lock. He fought with determination for his dreams and could accept the result. However, he grows angry at Nagi’s nonchalance, especially since the genius never considered what he would do if he lost.

Igaguri then grabs Nagi’s shirt, shouting that if he were blessed with Nagi's talent, he would try to become the best in the world no matter what. He then calms down and apologizes for interfering in Nagi’s life. However, Nagi thanks him and tells him that he will become a good monk.
Nagi then begins to walk away as Igaguri shouts after him that he isn’t done trying to become a football player. Blue Lock chapter 310 ends with Igaguri asking Nagi where he is going, to which Nagi replies that he’s had enough and is starting to feel fired up again. A text highlights that there are only two days remaining until the World Cup.
