Himawari Uzumaki from the Boruto series has been the topic of discussion for quite some time now. She was sidelined in the earlier parts of the manga due to her age. She was quite young and therefore didn’t contribute much in the way of plot progression. However, she has grown considerably as the series progressed and even gained an incredible set of powers that could make her the Hokage one day.

One of the reasons why Boruto fans have been talking about Himawari is her potential. Fans of the series have reason to believe that she could surpass her father in his prime. As per the latest Two Blue Vortex manga chapters, she is the new Nine-Tailed Besat Jinchuriki. Her power levels, chakra reserve, and overall skill set have increased drastically. However, there is another critical piece of information that gives us insight into her true potential.

Not only is she Kurama’s Jinchuriki at the moment, but she also has the best affinity for the Tailed Beast. This implies that she can extract the most from Kurama compared to any other vessel in the past, which also includes her father, Naruto Uzumaki. Naruto was so powerful that he quite literally took down a God. He was able to defeat Isshiki Otsutsuki single-handedly. Furthermore, he played an important role in sealing Kaguya Otsutsuki as well. These are just some of his biggest accomplishments.

Himawari Uzumaki has the potential to surpass all of this in the Boruto manga. From a plot standpoint, her new power-up has been timed to perfection. We have a new threat in Konohagakure, and her abilities could help Boruto thwart them. Let’s take a closer look at some of her feats in the manga that indicate her true potential.

Himawari Uzumaki is one of the only vessels that managed to utilize the Tailed Beast chakra early on. It takes months, if not years, to understand and harness the Tailed Beast chakra and further refine it to use it on the battlefield. Himawari managed to do this moments after finding out that she was the new Nine-Tailed Beast Jinchuriki.

Her intuition and ability to extract Kurama’s chakra are the best that we have seen so far. Not only did she use Kurama’s chakra, but she also managed to create a smaller version of the Tailed Beast Bomb. This was seen during the fight against Jura in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

While the attack wasn’t really powerful enough to take down Jura, it certainly showcased her adaptability. This, coupled with a strict training routine for a few years, could make the strongest Kunoichi in the entire village. Last but not least, Himawari also used Kurama’s chakra to heal Inojin, who sustained an injury that would have taken his life.

The Boruto manga is setting up Himawari to become one of the strongest characters in the series. Kishimoto and Ikemoto have highlighted her true potential. However, only time will tell whether or not Himawari will train hard enough to reach it. The Tailed Beast chakra, paired with the Byakugan eyes, has excited fans. If Himawari has the discipline to do so, she could be one of the strongest characters by the end of this series.
