Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has been progressing at a steady rate, and fans seem to be interested in one character in particular — Himawari Uzumaki. She wasn’t playing an active role in the progression of the plot during the earlier stages of the story. However, that is no longer the case, and the manga is setting up Himawari to take on a central role towards the concluding stages of the plot. Therefore, the question that most fans are asking is this: Is Himawari Uzumaki stronger than Boruto?

No, Himawari Uzumaki is not stronger than Boruto in the manga. There is absolutely no doubt that she is the strongest that she’s ever been. However, she requires years’ worth of training and combat experience if she wishes to surpass her elder brother in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Furthermore, her brother is now a full-fledged Otsutsuki, which makes him exceptionally powerful compared to the average shinobi.

He also spent three years training with Sasuke Uchiha. During this period, he mastered every Uchiha technique known to Sasuke. The latter is considered one of, if not the strongest, Uchiha to have ever lived. Surpassing him is no easy feat, and Boruto managed to do just that.

Given his young age, there is untapped potential, and fans haven’t witnessed his true powers at the time of writing. In the latest chapter, fans witnessed the protagonist talking to his marked hand, implying that it was a conversation with Momoshiki.

Momoshiki Otsutsuki in Boruto’s body could spell trouble for some of the most powerful villains in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Himawari isn’t particularly weak either. She is a Nine-Tailed Beast Jinchuriki, shocking every reader who has been following the series. Furthermore, she has the highest affinity with Kurama compared to any other vessel from the past.

This fact in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex shows that she can surpass her father sooner than fans think. She also managed to harness Kurama’s chakra intuitively. This is an impressive feat, as it takes Jinchurikis months, if not years, to harness the Tailed Beast’s chakra.

As mentioned earlier, Himawari Uzumaki was sidelined for much of the early manga. She was quite young and, therefore, wasn’t in a position to contribute much to the plot progression. However, that is no longer the case, and her importance to the plot progression will only increase as the story advances. There is no doubt that she will be one of the most important characters towards the end of the manga series.

Currently, one might consider Sarada Uchiha to be the deuteragonist of the series. However, Himawari’s screen time might potentially exceed Sarada’s in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. With the potential to surpass Naruto in his prime, she could become one of the series’ strongest characters. Furthermore, fans would love to see her extract Kurama’s full power in the manga series. Such powers will be crucial in defeating the series’ main antagonist and helping her brother in the process.

In conclusion, Himawari is not stronger than Boruto in the manga series. She still has a long way to go, especially with her brother now being a full-fledged Otsutsuki. With that in mind, it is unclear whether Himawari could surpass her brother. That being said, her role in the manga is quite important, as her powers could help her brother and, in turn, decide the fate of the village when the final antagonist shows up.
