Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 22 has been released, and fans were quite entertained, to say the least. As expected, Jura and the protagonist received a considerable amount of screen time. The former was sidelined for a few chapters despite being introduced as the main antagonist in this portion of the story. He was quite patient, waiting for the protagonist to reveal himself. He didn’t want to cause any unnecessary harm to anybody else, and this was evident in all the previous chapters of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga series.
However, the target came out of the shadows, and Jura decided to pursue him furiously. That’s when he used a modified version of the Biju Bomb that barely missed Konohamaru and Boruto. The latter managed to use the Flying Thunder God Technique to sneak up on Jura and hit him with a Rasengan. However, Jura seemed unfazed and even decided to enquire him about the concept of love.
Boruto then responded with the Rasengan Uzuhiko. This was his most powerful move in his arsenal that we know about. He was convinced that Jura would not be able to get up, let alone fight. However, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 22 showed Jura getting up almost instantly. He wasn’t feeling the effects of the attack. So why did it fail? It failed because Boruto didn’t account for Jura’s ability to adapt and learn on the fly.
Jura quite literally managed to understand the working principle of the Biju Dama in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga series. The centrifugal forces of the chakra create the Biju Bomb. This is the most fundamental principle, and its nuanced understanding allows the user to create variations. Therefore, Jura was able to counteract the permanent effects of Rasengan Uzuhiko.

The Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga showed us that the technique utilizes the rotational energy of the planet, which is imparted to the target. Jura was able to understand the workings of this technique and potentially applied a counterspin to negate the effects of the Uzuhiko. Boruto mentioned that the effects would be felt as long as the Earth continues to rotate. Therefore, the only logical way to counteract it would be to add a spin in the opposing direction.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex: Will Boruto be able to beat Jura?
There is no way that Boruto can beat Jura in his current state. There are two characters in the manga series who share the same view — Kashin Koji and Eida. Both of them can view glimpses of the future. Furthermore, Boruto was extremely confident in his Rasengan Uzuhiko. However, that didn’t work out, and Jura completely outclassed him. All signs point to a one-sided beatdown with Jura emerging victorious at the end of it.
However, there is one possibility that would give Boruto a fighting chance. Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s return has been long pending. Therefore, this would be the perfect time for him to return. Momoshiki has the power that could tilt the scales of the battle. Furthermore, he specifically announced that he wouldn’t let his precious vessel die. Therefore, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him in the subsequent chapter of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga series.
In summation, Rasengan Uzuhiko failed because of Jura’s advanced fighting IQ. He understood the principle of a Biju Bomb and applied it to counteract the Rasengan’s effects. It will be interesting to see how Boruto approaches this fight since there is virtually no way for him to win against Jura.
