The Boruto sequel, Two Blue Vortex, marks a turning point in the series, with the stakes higher than ever. This is mainly due to the Human God Trees, certain sentient beings created from Code’s Claw Grimes. While the chapters so far have shown why this group is so feared, the latest installment has finally cemented who the most intimidating villain is.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 22 proves that Jura, the leader of the Human God Trees, is the most dangerous villain in the entire series. Jura has always been unique among other antagonists, being the only direct descendant of the Ten-Tails who doesn't carry the chakra signature of any other shinobi.
Kashin Koji repeatedly warned Boruto to stay away from Jura, and should they meet, the protagonist would most likely be killed and the world would end. What makes Jura frightening is that he does not have a proper goal and exists to gain knowledge and grow. He encourages other Human God Trees to be curious too, and is obsessed with reading books and evolving.

Due to his intellect, Jura is also quick to recognize and be cautious about the danger that Boruto poses due to his information about the Thorn Soul Bulbs. He had initially infiltrated Konoha and easily defeated both Kawaki and the protagonist. However, since Kashin Koji was the real mastermind behind Boruto, he left momentarily.
In the latest arc of the manga, the main cast defeated both Ryu and Matsuri, but Boruto was forced to appear on the battlefield to protect Konohamaru. As a result, the Two Blue Vortex chapter 22 highlights the situation that Koji feared the most: Jura confronting Boruto. As expected by Jiraiya’s clone, the Human God Trees’ leader also demonstrated his overwhelming strength.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 22 highlights Jura’s unparalleled strength and intellect
Until now, Jura had always been a fearsome figure, but the new installment truly showcases why he is so deadly. After the other Human God Trees were defeated, Jura emerged through a Claw Grime that was present near Mitsuki, Araya, and Sarada. However, he paid them little attention and swiftly flew towards Boruto and Konohamaru.
Even from a long distance, he launched a Miniature Biju Bomb Sniper Shot, which would have been fatal had it not missed. Sensing the danger, Boruto ordered Konohamaru to retreat and engaged in a battle against the antagonist.
Unfortunately, he stood little chance, as moves such as the Rasengan left no effect on Jura. The Human God Tree could keep up with the Flying Raijin Jutsu and even blocked the protagonist’s blade with one finger. Jura soon showed off his prowess with Wood Release, keeping up with the stealthy Boruto and capturing him.
The most shocking moment, however, came after this. Boruto, who had been baiting Jura till then, had finished preparing his Rasengan: Uzuhiko, which used planetary chakra, and had defeated formidable opponents such as Code in the past. But the Uzuhiko hit Jura, making him fly away and distorting his senses altogether.
This was only effective for a very short period, as Jura figured out that the ability worked similarly to his Biju Bomb and nullified it. Therefore, the special move of the protagonist, which was meant to be all-powerful and draw out the energy of the planet itself, was useless against Jura.
The chapter ended on this cliffhanger, bolstering Jura's status as the most dangerous villain not just in Two Blue Vortex but arguably the entire Naruto universe. He could instantly figure out how to counter the Uzuhiko, and the most potent Rasengan attacks did not bear a scratch on him. Hence, both fans and the characters are left uncertain about how to deal with Jura.
Jura is clever enough to always remain one step ahead and cannot be beaten using psychological tactics, while his physical superiority is unparalleled. Two Blue Vortex readers are hoping for Momoshiki to make an appearance in the next chapter and finally discover the villain’s weakness.
