What to expect from Chainsaw Man chapter 204 (speculative)?
Since Chainsaw Man chapter 203 ended in exciting fashion, chapter 204 will likely begin with the cast trying to figure out a way to handle the building that is being dropped by Fami. Either the structure will fall, causing heavy losses, or Denji will regain his focus and stop her efforts.
Additionally, Fami may also be crushed by the debris, though she would recover due to her regenerative powers. The main highlight of the chapter will ultimately fall on Denji’s confused mental state, as Yoru aims to push him over the edge and make him kill people.
Though Denji has his own shallow reasoning for not willingly murdering innocent citizens, should he follow through now, it may cause him to despair yet again.
Chainsaw Man chapter 203 recap
Chapter 203, titled Human Shield, continued the battle between Denji and Fakesaw Man, who had absorbed the chainsaw people around him to strengthen his hand. Fakesaw Man then began throwing punches at Denji, though the protagonist dodged them easily. However, as a consequence, the people trapped within Fakesaw Man were being severely injured.
As they begged for help, Denji was left confused about his course of action. At that point, one of Fakesaw Man’s attached victims revealed how aiming for his heart may be the answer to killing him. Denji, having gained clarity on his goal, jumped past Fakesaw Man’s destructive attacks and came close to hitting his heart.
However, Fakesaw Man had prepared for this situation by placing another human near his heart. This caused Denji to hesitate, during which time Fakesaw Man connected a hit and sent him flying into a building. As Denji lay on the ground, Yoru appeared, telling him how he couldn’t win if he felt sorry for the humans absorbed by Fakesaw Man.
Denji expressed that killing would cause fewer people to like him. However, Yoru responded that he would be forgotten even if he saved them, referring to Asa’s former popularity. Just as Yoru asked whether Denji required her assistance, the Falling Devil showed up, causing a part of the building to levitate.
She then prepared to drop it onto a crowd of people, which included the Famine Devil. The chapter ends on this cliffhanger, as the humans and Fami look up towards the falling building in fear.
