Dandadan Season 2 Episode 7 recap

Dandadan Season 2 Episode 7 picked up right where the previous installment left off, as Miko, Muko, and Okarun were served by Momo at her Maid Cafe. After some hilariously cute banter between the group, Momo drove away her friends. Though Okarun offered to stay till her shift finished, Momo insisted that he leave.

Momo then continued her job, keeping a constant eye on the clock until her workday finally ended. To her surprise, as soon as she stepped out, Okarun ran up to her, informing her that he wouldn’t leave her alone that late at night. Flustered, Momo held hands with the boy, and the two walked together.

At Seiko’s house, Jiji continued his spiritual energy training and had become proficient enough to prevent his transformation upon coming into contact with room-temperature liquids. Unfortunately, once Momo and Okarun returned, both he and Aira ran toward them at the same time, after which they collided and Aira’s drink spilled on him.

Immediately, the Evil Eye appeared and trapped Momo, along with it, inside a Cursed House. The yokai attempted to brutally beat and choke her, but was thankfully stopped by Momo, who spat the hot water in her mouth at him.

Unfortunately, this small incident was enough to create a rift between the friends, as Okarun pushed away Jiji, and Jiji started feeling guilty for his actions. Aira, too, apologized for her role in the event. The next day, Okarun visited Peeny-Weeny and asked him to teach him how to punch. However, Mr. Mantis Shrimp rejected his pleas, citing his hatred for violence.

Instead, he forced Okarun into helping him carry heavy bags at his job. Later in the evening, Manjiro gave Seiko an ultimatum, expressing that the Evil Eye couldn’t be left alone and that he would call the Hayashi performers once again. Meanwhile, Okarun tried to learn punching on his own.

Seeing his pitiful efforts, Turbo Granny decided to help and guided him to his school late at night. Aira saw the two of them leave and followed behind them. Once the three broke into the school, Turbo Granny led them to the music room and explained the reason why Okarun was lacking.

She revealed that the number of techniques Okarun could accommodate within a beat was much lower than that of the Evil Eye and that he was yet to perfect his rhythm. The episode ended on a cliffhanger, as the portraits in the music room representing famous musicians came to life, prepared to attack the main cast.
