However, when the yokai gets up for more, the protagonist will cleverly manipulate it into setting its sights only on him, saving his friends from being harmed and setting Jiji free. Dandadan Season 2 Episode 8 recap

Dandadan Season 2 Episode 8 kicked off the Music Room Portraits battle, as Turbo Granny tricked Okarun and Aira into fighting the Tulpas that manifested from the portraits of musicians. Though initially seeming unintimidating, the group began playing their music, launching explosive attacks at the main cast.

They soon changed their symphony, transforming the setting into an open pastoral field and continuing their barrage of attacks. While Aira was putting up a valiant fight, Okarun began despairing about his helplessness. However, right then, Turbo Granny inspired the protagonist to find his own tempo by remembering a tune.

Recollecting the performance of the Hayashi performers, Okarun dynamically ran toward the enemies and teamed up with Aira to take down the conductor. Seeing the scene, the rest of the spirits changed their symphony, transforming the environment into a large orchestral hall with countless illusions on their side.

Although the heroes were initially piled upon by the horde, Aira used her hair to pull them up and worked on distracting their opponents. Meanwhile, realizing that the battle would only be over if the five main composers were defeated, Okarun used his newly learned rhythm to unleash successive headbutt attacks.

This ended up freeing the trio, after which Turbo Granny explained the truth about the Music Room Portraits. Back in Seiko’s house, Manjiro took a decisive step to invite the Hayashi performers yet again to exorcise the Evil Eye, given the danger Jiji posed. Soon after, Okarun called out to Jiji from outside the house.

While Momo questioned the protagonist’s intentions, Okarun expressed his resolve to face the Evil Eye, aiming to save both Jiji and the Yokai in the process. Jiji chose to trust in his friend, while Aira splashed water on him. The episode ended as the Evil Eye and Okarun clashed against each other yet again.
