The upcoming season is going to build off of everything from Season 1. Koichi Haimawari (The Crawler), Kazuho Haneyama (Pop☆Step), and Knuckleduster will continue their journeys through the perilous realm of vigilantism. There will be more intricate plotlines and new characters added during My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2.

The new season will feature Kana Ueda as Monika Kaniyashiki, providing an interesting new character dynamic for the program. A trailer that was released at Tokyo Comic Con sneak-peeked at the upcoming season's conflict and character development.

One particularly exciting element teased for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 involves a deeper exploration of established characters from the main series. Viewers should expect a lot of historical backstory on these already established characters from the original My Hero Academia anime.

The music of every anime sets the vibe and mood. The opening theme song, "Catch," is sung by Surii, and "Miss You" is sung by Shytaupe for the ending theme song.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 has the same production team from Season 1, and Kenichi Suzuki is directing again. He's known for other successful projects like Cells at Work! and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The series composition and scripts are written by Yōsuke Kuroda, who wrote both the first season and the main anime series of My Hero Academia.

The character designs were done by Takahiko Yoshida along with Yukihiro Watanabe, as well as Yūki Hayashi, with Shōgo Yamashiro and Yūki Furuhashi contributing the music score. Together, they create the unique sensation that makes this spin-off so different from the rest.

The Story Behind My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

For people who are just getting into the My Hero Academia series, this story takes place five years before the story begins with Izuku Midoriya and shows how things were different back then in terms of Heroes.

Koichi Haimawari is just like many others who have basic superpowers but want to be heroes, but are never given that chance. He has a Quirk called Slide and Glide that lets him move around, but is considered to be too weak to do real hero work. Even with all that going against him, Koichi chooses to help people anyway and is known to locals as the "Nice Guy."

Koichi and street performer Pop☆Step meet a bunch of trouble, but at the same time, Knuckleduster, a vigilante who has his personal reasons for doing what he does, helps them both in a way that gets Koichi to change from just being a supportive friend to becoming a real-life hero.

Catching Up Before Season 2

New viewers interested in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 have ample time to experience the first season. All 13 episodes remain available on Crunchyroll, offering an accessible entry point to the series. The first season introduces core characters and foreshadows upcoming events and storylines like the Trigger Drug arc.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 does a great job of taking a non-traditional approach to what it means to be a hero. So, don't miss the opportunity to experience this unique chapter in the hero society saga.
