One Piece chapter 1157 is an exciting installment that delivers key revelations about the Rocks Pirates, Harald, and the World Government. The highlight of the chapter, however, is Shakuyaku, whose beauty continues to stun everyone around her.

Notably, One Piece chapter 1157 showcases the time when Shakky quit the Kuja Pirates and moved to Hachinosu, where she set up her bar and made every member of the Rocks Pirates fall in love with her. While this may simply seem to be a hilarious yet fascinating turn in the narrative, a closer look has dismantled a long-standing Mihawk theory.

Upon analysis of the timelines of these events and the presence of key individuals, One Piece chapter 1157 has seemingly confirmed that Mihawk is not the son of Rayleigh and Shakky, debunking an immensely popular series within the fandom.

One Piece chapter 1157 proves Mihawk isn’t Rayleigh and Shakky’s child

Dracule Mihawk is one of One Piece’s most beloved yet mysterious characters. Known as a Marine Hunter and the strongest swordsman in the world, this proficient combatant is both Zoro’s ultimate goal and Shanks’ rival.

Despite his involvement in the series’ key themes, very little is known about the man himself. The only notable event from Mihawk’s past that has been mentioned in the storyline is a great betrayal he experienced, which fuels his hatred toward the Marines and his distrustful demeanour.

However, with the introduction of the supremely powerful swordsman Rayleigh and his wife Shakky, a popular theory suggesting that Mihawk was their child began making its rounds across the fandom.

The hypothesis mainly stemmed from their swordsmanship skills as well as similar appearances, while information about the timeline's consistency largely remained unclear. In One Piece chapter 1156, the Kuja Pirates and the Roger Pirates confronted each other, and most members of the Roger Pirates were left helpless in the face of Shakuyaku’s beauty.

The only person who could resist was Rayleigh, which piqued her interest in him. Given that the two had already met over 44 years ago, it was still possible that the currently 43-year-old Mihawk might be their child.

Unfortunately, Oda has debunked the theory in the very next installment. One Piece chapter 1157 shows the time when Shakuyaku left her life of piracy and moved to Hachinosu to hide from the Marines. According to the story’s timeline, this took place 42 years before the present day.

Apart from her initial meeting with Rayleigh on the seas, Shakky showed no other connection with the swordsman. Additionally, there were also no signs that she was the mother of a one-year-old child.

In the scenes depicting Rayleigh’s past, he was also not shown caring for a son, which means the only situation where Mihawk could be their child would be if both parents abandoned him after birth. This seems highly unlikely , given the caring reputation of the Roger Pirates.

Therefore, given the inconsistencies in the timeline as well as gaps in the narrative, One Piece chapter 1157 has all but confirmed that Dracule Mihawk is not the son of Silvers Rayleigh and Shakuyaku.
