One Punch Man is one of the most popular shonen series, captivating fans with its mix of action and comedy. Over the long course of the story, several fascinating villains and dangerous groups have been introduced, threatening the heroes and the world.

While the House of Evolution is not necessarily the strongest among them, it is certainly memorable. The House of Evolution is the first major antagonistic group faced by Saitama and Genos in One Punch Man. It marked the beginning of the relationship between the master and the disciple while establishing Saitama’s position as the strongest.

The House of Evolution was created by Dr. Genus, a genius scientist who earned great renown all throughout the world. However, obsessed with the idea of evolving humans artificially, Genus relentlessly pursued his goal. After the age of 70, he finally achieved great progress and regained his youth. Following this, Genus created countless clones to assist in his efforts.

As they experimented on humans and animals alike, their laboratory gained the reputation of being the House of Evolution. Despite being defeated very easily at the start of One Punch Man by Saitama, the House of Evolution was a dangerous organization that boasted great power.

Their forces contained the likes of Carnage Kabuto, Mosquito Girl, Armored Gorilla, and Beast King, and they were also responsible for creating the immortal S-Class Hero, Zombieman, although he escaped from the organization.

Despite boasting great strength and technological prowess, the House of Evolution faced the misfortune of battling Saitama in One Punch Man. Their tensions stemmed from the time when Mosquito Girl caused a rampage throughout the city while collecting blood samples. While Genos tried stopping her, he was left helpless due to her physical superiority.

Right when the cyborg planned to self-destruct, Saitama intervened and slapped Mosquito Girl away, annoyed by the mosquitoes. Impressed by his strength, Genos started following him around to become his disciple.

At the same time, since Mosquito Girl was a product of the House of Evolution, Genus heard of her quick defeat and sent his soldiers to capture Saitama, after which he would research his physiology. Soon after, powerful villains such as Ground Dragon, Beast King, and Armored Gorilla attacked Saitama’s house.

However, they were overpowered by their enemies, and everyone but Armored Gorilla died. Upon interrogating him, Saitama and Genos discovered the existence of the House of Evolution and headed over to bring them down. To prepare for their arrival, Genus laid traps throughout the eight floors of his facility and unleashed Carnage Kabuto.

However, the scientist’s plans failed as Genos destroyed the House of Evolution building immediately upon arrival. Along with Saitama, the two then entered an underground bunker, where they were confronted by Genus and Carnage Kabuto.

While Genos tried to face the monstrous mutant in front of him, his blaster attacks failed, and he was swiftly defeated. Though Carnage Kabuto tried carrying forward his momentum to take down Saitama, he immediately felt the extent of the protagonist’s power and began panicking.

As he questioned the source of Saitama’s strength, the protagonist revealed his iconic training regimen, where he would do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and run 10 kilometres every day. Enraged by his opponent’s casual attitude, Carnage Kabuto boosted his physical capabilities and unleashed a barrage of punches at Saitama.

However, as soon as the protagonist realized that it was Saturday and he had missed a bargain sale, he blew Carnage Kabuto’s head apart with one punch. Seeing the scene, Genus lost hope and gave up on his experiments.

During One Punch Man’s Monster Association Arc, it is revealed that Dr. Genus, Armored Gorilla, and Mosquito Girl, the only survivors of the House of Evolution, run a takoyaki shop called the House of Takoyaki.
