What to expect from Sakamoto Days chapter 217 (speculative)?

Sakamoto Days chapter 217 will showcase Shin’s master plan to face Uzuki’s allies and escape the situation. This will likely involve the use of his evolved mind control powers as well as leveraging Atari’s bad luck.

The most likely way that Shin could face all his enemies would be to use Uzuki, who is currently possessing Takamura’s personality. In this version, Uzuki cannot differentiate between friend and foe and reacts solely to blood lust. It is possible that Shin wishes to take advantage of this and run away during the ensuing chaos of Uzuki’s rampage.

At the same time, Shin could also turn the forces of the Order and X’s Organization against each other. Since their alliance is only temporary, if he takes control of one of them and creates tension between the groups, they may turn on one another, which would yet again allow Shin to protect Atari and survive.

Sakamoto Days chapter 216 recap

Sakamoto Days chapter 215 ended on a shocking cliffhanger, with Shin seemingly beheaded by Uzuki. Chapter 216 picks up from here, showing how the deuteragonist was unharmed and held by Atari, who was behind him.

As Shin wondered how he was alive, Atari explained that he had undergone the Tunnel Effect, where the particles of the sword and those in his body miraculously failed to collide. This was achievable through her manipulation of luck.

Unfortunately, now that she had used it up, misfortune soon struck upon them, with the Order member and other supporters of Uzuki meeting up in the aquarium through a bizarre coincidence. Just as Shin was wondering how to escape the dire situation, Kumanomi jumped into battle, throwing the statue of a whale at Shin.

The onslaught continued, with Torres hitting him with his sandblasters. As Shin was lying on the ground, Atari asked him to kill her, which would possibly stop his bad luck. Shin refused, revealing his promise to Sakamoto that he would protect everyone.

In a situation where fate seems to have abandoned him, the chapter ends with Shin coming up with some sort of plan to get out of his predicament.
