The first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie has been released in regions outside of Japan, and the reception is incredible to say the least. The Japanese Box Office figures were a good predictor of how the rest of the world would react to the movie. Fans of the series absolutely loved the movie, and Ufotable’s mastery of animation was at the forefront once again.

There is no doubt that the first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie has set the tone for the rest of the trilogy. The animation team will have to work hard to beat the very standards that they themselves have set. As mentioned earlier, two more films would cover the contents of the Infinity Castle arc. Fans who have read the manga were eagerly awaiting Zenitsu’s fight against Kaigaku.

It is safe to say that netizens were quite happy with the manner in which it was animated. Zenitsu took on an Upper Moon demon all by himself. The animators didn’t extend the fight, and the short duration was crucial to emphasize the sheer difference in their levels. As shown in the first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie, it wasn’t really a fight. It was a one-sided beatdown.

The color palette was vibrant, and the animation style was extremely fluid. The fight involving Akaza, Tanjiro, and Giyu Tomioka was the highlight of the movie. Camera angles weren’t repetitive, which grabbed the viewers’ attention throughout the duration of the fight. Furthermore, the particle effects were utilized perfectly during the fight sequences. Akaza’s Blood Demon Art and the demon hunters’ Breathing Styles were incredible to watch.

Therefore, it is safe to say that the first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie has set the bar incredibly high. Fans expect high-octane action in the following films as well. The fight sequences in the third film will be invigorating, to say the least. This is because Gyomei and Sanemi, among others, will take on Kokushibo.

On the whole, the movie was quite exciting to watch for the average fan. However, some issues could be fixed before the second movie is released. One of the biggest issues in the first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie was the pacing. The fight sequences were incredible.

However, the flashbacks negatively affected the pacing of the fight. While the film was faithful to the source material, the director could have taken an executive call to make some creative changes to enhance the pacing. Several events are taking place simultaneously. However, the editing style could have been changed to have a positive impact on the viewer’s attention span.

The first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie could have emphasized each fight and separated the flashbacks. This would have resulted in a more coherent viewing experience, retaining the tension that each of the fights had built up. These are some issues that could be addressed before the second movie is released.

In conclusion, it is safe to say that the first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie has set the bar for the remaining portions of the trilogy. The animation and art were impeccable, to say the least.

The second and third films of the trilogy have a lot of work to do to match the incredibly high standards set by this film. That being said, there is room for improvement, and the fanbase is eagerly awaiting the next installment of Demon Slayer.
