In the rapidly growing fandom of To Be Hero X, one character has made a dramatic transformation from a minor hero to a major antagonist. It pushes the boundaries of superhero satire, and by the end of Episode 1, it brings a new mystery to the spotlight — Enlighter. But who exactly is this character, and why has he caught everyone’s attention?

Enlighter was originally known as Hero Rank 249, but became an intriguing villain in To Be Hero X, adopting the fearsome persona of God Eye. Enlighter made his first full appearance in Episode 2. He appears calm and controlled, contrasting sharply with the chaotic energy of the main cast. However, beneath that calm surface lies a character with hidden depth and unclear motives.

Enlighter first appeared as a lanky figure with defined facial lines, piercing green eyes, and flowing black hair. His hero costume consisted of an olive green traditional coat over a stylized black tang suit with gold accents. While not possessing flashy powers like other heroes in To Be Hero X, Enlighter's abilities centered around his analytical skills.

His primary power allowed him to process vast amounts of information simultaneously, manipulating data from multiple screens and devices with ease. This analytical prowess made him particularly dangerous when investigating other heroes, especially when he targeted Nice and Moon's relationship.

Enlighter’s pivotal moment unfolded in Episode 1, when he tried to reveal the truth behind Nice and Moon’s fabricated relationship. After this incident, his Trust Value plummeted, leading to his eventual transformation into the villain God Eye. This dramatic shift wasn't just a change in allegiance but a complete conversion from using Trust as his power source to embracing Fear instead.

His look underwent a striking transformation after his encounter with the enigmatic Spotlight Organization. The classic coat was swapped out for a loose-fitting hooded cloak, complete with dark protective gear wrapped around his arms. Most distinctively, his eyes became covered with a black ooze that glows green with the Spotlight Organization's emblem, and a digital halo-like disc now projects behind him.

By Episode 3, "The Ever-Standing Hero," God Eye had become obsessed with bringing down Nice's legacy. This obsession led him to capture what appeared to be Moon, holding her hostage as part of his plan to destroy Nice's reputation. His ability to create lifelike mannequins that perfectly mimic real people allowed him to execute elaborate schemes aimed at exposing heroes.

The events of Episode 4 revealed that the Moon he had captured was actually a disguised mannequin, showing just how far his deceptive powers had evolved. Despite his efforts, Lin Ling (the new Nice) managed to defeat God Eye, seemingly bringing his arc to a close.

Power and Abilities

Enlighter was particularly fascinating in To Be Hero X, as his evolution of powers. As Enlighter, his "Trust" based abilities included:

  • Advanced data analysis across multiple information sources
  • Enhanced lie detection power
  • The ability to measure vital signs like heart rate through camera footage alone

After becoming God Eye, his powers expanded to include creating convincing disguises and illusions, making him an even more formidable threat to the Hero Association.

Overall, Enlighter has impacted the story of To Be Hero X in his own way, even though he has been defeated in recent episodes. His actions set in motion the later events in the series. This is part of a larger scheme connected to the Spotlight Organization that is yet to be seen in the series' exciting run.
