Another fabulous collection of classic As the World Turns episodes has been released for the first time on DVD. The 10-episodes collection focuses on the wedding of Bob and Kim Hughes.
Soap Classics has added The Wedding of Bob and Kim Hughes to its burgeoning collection of soap video memorabilia. The new As the World Turns compilation contains ten consecutive episodes from April 1985 that tell the story of the union of the matriarch and patriarch of Oakdale's cornerstone family. The collection offers fans the chance to relive Bob's bachelor party, the wedding ceremony, and the reception.
The wedding of Bob and Kim Hughes, played by Don Hastings and Kathryn Hays, was a major Oakdale event that transpired over several episodes. During the unfolding of events, Julianne Moore debuted as Frannie Hughes, Bob's daughter from his previous marriage to Kim's sister. Bob and Kim had one of the longest marriages in the history of ATWT; however, in the 1990s, they discovered that it wasn't legal. After some soul-searching, the couple legalized the union on their wedding anniversary.
