Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) is taking a break from The Bold and the Beautiful -- but the actress will be back later this year. Lang is headed to Italy to compete in the tenth edition of Ballando con le stelle, the Italian version of Dancing With the Stars.
"I would like to share some very exciting news! My sweetie and I are moving to Italy for the next couple of months," Lang shared on her official Facebook page. "The first live dance will be October 4th, please tune in and vote!"
Lang's professional dance partner has not yet been announced.
Lang is not the first B&B actor to appear on Ballando con le stelle. In 2010, Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge Forrester) put on his dancing shoes for the series. He and partner Sara Di Vaira finished second. Unlike Lang, who will set up temporary residence in Italy, Moss flew back and forth between Italy and Los Angeles to simultaneously work on B&B and compete on Ballando con le stelle.
With Lang salsaing and tangoing, her B&B alter ego will be off the canvas for some time.
"Brooke will be heading to the Milan office for Forester International [f]or some much needed private time and reflection. Thank you for your support," Lang added, noting that once her Ballando con le stelle stint wraps up, she'll head back to work on B&B.
"Unless we can get Brad [Bell, B&B's executive producer and head writer] to come to Italy to do a remote!"
Lang is one of two original cast members of The Bold and the Beautiful. She made her first appearance in March 1987. She has received two Daytime Emmy nominations for her work.
