Katie couldn't believe that Bill was on one knee and asking her to marry him. Bill felt as if he had messed up by not leading with the ring, so he pulled it out of his pocket. She asked if he had fully planned it out, and he half-admitted to it. He told her, "I love you. Do you love me?" Once she admitted that she did, he wondered what else there was to wait for. Bill asked for the wedding to take place that same night, and she instantly agreed.

Bill put the ring on Katie's finger, and they were joined by Brooke and Donna, who planned to head home. Bill and Katie announced to Will and Electra that he had proposed, and that Katie had agreed to marry him. Bill asked everyone to stay put so that they could be witnesses to the second Spencer wedding of the evening. Will thought his father was nervous, and he playfully teased him about it.

Everyone took their places, and although there was no justice of the peace, Will decided to wing it and assume the duties. He recognized that there was something that always drew Bill and Katie together. He missed his family being together, and now they were finally becoming one again. Will hugged both of his parents, and it was Brooke and Donna's time to speak.

Brooke didn't think anyone deserved happiness more than Katie. Donna echoed the sentiment, praising Katie's selflessness and how it added to her natural beauty. Bill reflected on how far he and Katie had come, and how their connection shifted something in his life. He asked her to trust him with her heart, and this time would be different. Katie recalled how fragile her heart was when they first met, but he made it stronger.

Katie told him, "You have this amazing ability to live completely in the moment, and that is so enviable. Because life is short. I wish I could give you my heart, but I don't own it. It's already yours." They exchanged rings and kissed in front of their loved ones, who were over the moon to witness the surprise nuptials.

Finn and Steffy had an empty house, so they were determined to make the most of it. With the fireplace going and candles set up, they kissed passionately. They discussed Beth officiating their wedding, and if they ever decided to renew their vows, they'd want Kelly to do it. She told him that both Ridge and Eric skipped out on the wedding. Finn reiterated how Eric taking a step back from the design team was best for his overall health. Steffy agreed, and her primary concern was her grandfather's health.

A shirtless Finn expressed gratitude for going through life with Steffy by his side. She reminded him that they needed to cherish what they had, and they shared yet another kiss. After the year they had endured, it was refreshing for the couple to slow down the pace and truly take the moment to bask in the glow of their love.

Eric was drinking in the CEO's office, and he asked Ridge to join him. It didn't take much convincing, and they toasted to Eric to the future of Forrester. Ridge wondered how Eric avoided the wedding, and his father asked for the same. They bonded over the idea that they both despised Bill, and Eric joked, "Where does he even find those shirts?"

Eric and Ridge reminisced on the days when Sally Spectra tried to steal their designs, and they always had to be on the lookout. No matter what, the Forrester family always found a way to come out on top. They discussed Stephanie and how she was probably looking down on Ridge, proud of how he was running Forrester. Eric confirmed to Ridge that the keys to the kingdom finally belonged solely to Ridge. The king of the fashion world was finally ready to abdicate the throne, so the crown prince could rule on his own.

Eric pulled out his trusty stapler, a symbol of everything Forrester represented. It was power, and now he wanted Ridge to seize control of it. Ridge understood how sizable a gesture that was, and the two men shared an emotional glance. Eric insisted that he was done, and Ridge said, "The door will always be open." Eric vowed to do his best to enjoy retirement, but he couldn't put a permanent bow on his career just yet. They expressed their love for each other, and Eric placed his hand on his son's as a final nod of approval.
