Can The Bold and the Beautiful's 'Thope' pick up where they left off?

There's a whole lot of unfinished business between The Bold and the Beautiful's Thomas Forrester and Hope Logan. Now that Matthew Atkinson is bringing Thomas back to Los Angeles from Paris, Hope and Thomas can finally get their closure — or maybe start all over again.

It wasn't an easy road to love for Thomas and Hope (Annika Noelle), mainly due to Thomas' menacing ways. His obsession with Hope was terrifying at one time, especially when he imagined a Hope-like mannequin coming to life before he dated her in his apartment.

We eventually learned that Thomas' hallucinations stemmed from a brain injury, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he also kept the truth about Baby Beth from Hope for a few weeks in the hopes that she would marry him. Hope did just that, but Liam (Scott Clifton) learned Beth was alive before the honeymoon even began.

It took a long time for Hope to get over what Thomas did, even when they were co-parenting Douglas (Henry Joseph-Samiri) together. Eventually, they fell into an easy friendship before it became something much more in 2023. Hope couldn't deny her attraction to Thomas any longer and kissed him in front of the Roman Colosseum, not knowing that her husband, Liam, had witnessed the whole thing.

That kiss finally put an end to Hope and Liam's marriage, but it began Hope and Thomas' whirlwind, yet brief romance. It was Hope's insistence that she wasn't ready for marriage only six months after her divorce that ended things. She wanted Thomas in her life, but Thomas wanted to be her husband. He took Douglas and flew off to Paris, then shocked Hope when he returned to announce his engagement to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) before taking off again days later.

We haven't heard a word from or about Thomas since he left for Paris with Paris more than a year ago. Did he marry Paris? Are they still waiting to wed in Eric's (John McCook) living room? We have no idea. With Paris coming back into the conversation thanks to her mother, Grace (Cassandra Creech), there's a chance she might return with Thomas, although that has not been confirmed by the soap.

Hope's life has also taken quite a turn since Thomas left. She is now engaged to Carter, a man who left Paris at the altar a few years back. But it hasn't felt like her heart has really been in it, and she's been spending more time with Liam than with Carter of late. In fact, now that she knows Liam is going to live, she looks like she wants to spend even more time with him.

What Hope doesn't know is that Thomas is about to re-enter her life. Will she say "Carter who?" and "Liam who?" if that happens? Will Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) make her move on Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor)? Will Liam finally give Ivy the time of day again?
