On The Bold and the Beautiful, there are many characters who either need more on-screen time or need storylines worthier of the talented actors. Heck, even Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) could use a wonderful storyline that is separate from her on-and-off relationship with Ridge. Here are just four examples of characters who need a fresh, exciting storyline:
Thomas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful

Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has been a problematic character on The Bold and the Beautiful for years. He was involved in the car accident that caused Emma's (Nia Sioux) death. He kept it a secret from Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle) that their baby Beth was alive, and that's just for starters.
With ongoing therapy, he made progress and was in a good place even after Hope rejected his multiple marriage proposals. He moved to Paris, had a successful designing career, and got engaged to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White).
Now that he is back in L.A., it's heartbreaking to see him backslide with his obsessive anger about Ridge leaving Taylor for Brooke again. We know Thomas is disappointed for his mom, but he needs to find a way to accept his dad's decision and move on. Both Thomas and Atkinson (who does a wonderful job portraying him) have many devoted fans who would love to see him in a storyline apart from the thirty-five-year triangle. How about a close friendship with Daphne (Murielle Hilaire)? Maybe it could lead to something more, maybe not. Or maybe he could create a sensational line of gowns that's a hit on the runway. Thomas needs to shine. He deserves it, and then some.
Taylor Hayes

Taylor also needs a storyline of her own that is apart from Ridge and Brooke. Taylor fans want to see her date again, even if she doesn't fall head over heels in love with the next guy who comes along. Let's see the fun side of Taylor that we had a glimpse of when she was friends with Deacon (Sean Kanan). Even though Krista Allen played Taylor at the time, it would still be entertaining to see Rebecca Budig's version of Taylor in more light-hearted scenarios like that one. Or let's see her meet a handsome stranger at Il Giardino, or maybe a dashing doctor who works at the hospital with Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Li (Naomi Matsuda).
Or maybe she could create a very special missionary organization in honor and in memory of the matriarch of the Forrester family, none other than Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), who was her close friend and mother-in-law at different times throughout the show. It would be a wonderful tribute to Stephanie and a nod to her storyline involving the homeless, where she herself was briefly homeless. Rebecca Budig would knock that storyline out of the park.
Li Nozawa Finnegan

Let's face it, Li is a force to be reckoned with. Some fans have even compared her to Stephanie. She needs a strong storyline, and not the one we're seeing now (which makes no sense). The Li we saw before Luna was in a coma would never whisk Luna off to her home and secretly care for her while telling everyone else Luna is dead. Li knew Luna was a murderer who needed to go back to prison. She never would have helped her, like she is doing now.
Naomi Matsuda is so good at conveying Li's fierce will and determination. We hate seeing Luna pull the wool over her eyes, after the huge risk Li took for her just to give her another chance she didn't even deserve. Li needs a storyline where no one dares to take advantage of her. Maybe a story that involves an interesting case at the hospital? Think ER, Grey's Anatomy, or St. Elsewhere.
Let's see her make amends with her sister Poppy (Romy Park). It would be great if they could work through their issues and become close. It feels nice to see scenes when Li shows us the warm side of her personality as well as the tough side.
Katie Logan

Katie (Heather Tom) is such a powerhouse actress on The Bold and the Beautiful that it's a shame we really only see her lately acting as a concerned mother to Will (Crew Morrow) and a cheerleader for her sister Brooke whenever Brooke tries to get Ridge back. Katie should focus on her own love life — or lack of one — and not worry so much about her sister's. How about giving Bill (Don Diamont) another chance, Katie?
It just seems like things have gotten stale in Katie's orbit, and she needs a new storyline that's all her own. We know Heather Tom always delivers, so how about giving her an invigorating story she can really breathe life into? Something dramatic that gives us all the feels?
