The Marrying Man and the Delusional Girl(s): The Bold and the Beautiful Two Scoops For the week of September 8

Should we just call him Commercial Break Ridge now, cause that's what The Bold and the Beautiful's Ridge Forrester now is? He dumped Taylor and got a ring ready for Brooke during the commercial break. We're not sure if we've ever seen anything like it in over 45 years of watching soaps. So, let's dig in.

Oh, Taylor, what world were you in?

The one blessing about Ridge's extremely unceremonious dumping of Taylor is that we no longer have to watch Taylor fawn all over Ridge and anxiously tell him she is finally calm and confident about their relationship. We no longer have to listen to Brooke's sisters passively remind Taylor that it was only a matter of time before she was old news. And we no longer have to watch Eric run around the Italian coast in a ski jacket in August as the high school sidekick trying to reunite his son with their mutual ex-wife and baby mama.

No more Taylor begging Ridge to set a date or ignoring the fact that he could never actually look her in the eyes. No more trying to forget that the only reason Ridge ever slept with you this year was because he had a fight with Brooke right before the commercial break. (For real.)

However, what we do get is...

Thomas, calm down

That's right. We get Thomas whining and complaining, and we're not quite sure why Thomas has reverted to the guy who only wants to see his parents together and nothing else. Is he just there to play the role of Steffy while Steffy is getting her annual R&R? The last we saw of Thomas, he had accepted the fact that Brooke and Ridge were together and had even formed some sort of tepid truce with Brooke since she saw how much Thomas had changed and how he made Hope happy.

But now he feels menacing again, and we don't like it. We are also not too sure why his entire history with Hope (the good and the bad) feels like it has been erased, since Thomas has done nothing but complain about Brooke in the two weeks he's been back. Heck, he hasn't even seen Hope yet, which is very strange indeed. Does Hope even wonder where her son is? Does she even remember she has a son?

And yes, what about Ridge?

Ridge, are you serious? Did you really just give Taylor another bout of Broken Heart Syndrome, only to waltz into Dad's office and marry a tear-filled Brooke before we could grab another afternoon snack? We know that didn't really happen, but oh yes, it sure did.

So, Brooke and Ridge are married again. We think they're up to a baker's dozen when it comes to holy matrimony at this point, but who's counting when it's destiny, right? Ridge did not just propose to Brooke one commercial break after dumping Taylor. He MARRIED Brooke two commercial breaks after dumping Taylor, but how?

Where was the marriage license? We know always-the-officiator-and-never-the-groom Carter was there to get the job done, but that was not the only thing they needed to get the job done. They needed to prep. Something. And as an aside, does anyone think Carter will be a successful groom anytime soon? Lol, no.

Let's not mince words

Then, we have Delusional Girl, or even Delusional Soap. So, we're still not sure where Li actually lives. Is it a hotel room? A one-room apartment without even a kitchenette? And how does Remy afford to live in a building on the same floor where a successful doctor works? And why does a successful doctor live in a tiny room? However, all of that is beside the point (although it is definitely worth pondering).

Somehow, Liam was able to locate Luna using some computer voo-doo, so Will went knocking on random doors to see who was stalking him. And Luna, being off the wall as always, figured if she revealed herself to Will, then all would be right in her world.

But it all went wrong right off the bat, at least in our eyes. First, Luna had just had another negative pregnancy test before Will found her. When he fell backwards onto the bed the moment he saw her, we thought Luna was going to finish what she started and try to get pregnant again.

Not two minutes later, Will accused Luna of taking advantage of him sexually, and we nearly lost it. Because that was not what happened. She did not take advantage of Will. She raped him. She physically attacked an intoxicated man who could not make his own decisions and consent, while making him believe she was someone else.

Luna is a sexual predator, and it's not cute, nor is it funny. Last year, she allowed Zende to believe he had "taken advantage" of her, which she found to be absolutely hilarious.

It might be time for The Bold and the Beautiful to pull the plug on this character. Either that or give her DID because that might be the only way to redeem her at this point. The show has now had two chances to reset Luna, but chose to make her infinitely worse each time.

Till next week, Scoopers, when Luna might at least get some sort of comeuppance as Nozawa Power Auntie Grandma Li goes to town as only Nozawa Power Auntie Grandma Li can.
