The Bold and the Beautiful Comings and Goings: Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Exits...for now

The Bold and the Beautiful's Steffy is on her way out of Los Angeles once again as actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood goes on maternity leave.

After the last few months dealing with Liam's (Scott Clifton) tumor and Luna's (Lisa Yamada) terrorizing ways, Steffy feels she needs some rest and relaxation with her kids. Now that Liam is on the mend, she feels it's okay to leave town, so she broke the news to Finn and hopped a plane away from her chaotic life. She told Liam her plans last week and broke the news to her husband on July 28th, so it appears that Wood's maternity leave is about to begin.

While she is gone, we expect Bridget (Ashley Jones) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) to keep investigating what really happened to Liam. Steffy is sure to be in shock when she gets back, but for now, we don't expect to see her on our screens for the next few months.

The last time Steffy left town to accommodate Wood's maternity leave, Steffy was angry at Finn for letting Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) into their lives and felt she had to go away for her own safety. This time, she is leaving her husband on much better terms.

In March, Wood shocked the soap world when she announced she was nearly seven months pregnant with her fifth child.

"I'm almost 7 months pregnant!" she wrote in her newsletter. "Our family is beyond excited, and my kids are over the moon," Wood wrote. "It's such a special time in our home — so much love, energy, and anticipation."

Wood concluded her newsletter with: "So yes, there’s a lot going on over here—ha! But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I appreciate all of you and hope you have a beautiful week ahead. Sending love, prayers, and good vibes your way!"

Wood and her husband, Elan Ruspoli, are already the parents of four boys, six years of age and under. Rise, Lenix, Valor, and Brando will soon have another little sibling to play with.
