The Bold and the Beautiful made history today: It was the opening ceremonies of the new sets and studio.
The Bold and the Beautiful Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

John McCook (Eric Forrester) is one of the two longest-running actors on The Bold and the Beautiful. He had shared his thoughts and feelings about moving from the iconic set where they filmed the show for 38 years to the new one last month, when his dressing room was being dismantled and moved.
Today, McCook gave a backstage look at the grand opening of the new studio at Sunset Las Palmas. “38 years playing Eric Forrester and we’re beginning again at Sunset Las Palmas Studio. It’s never too late to try something new. Keep letting me know what you like and what you don’t like. We’re a family,” he wrote on Instagram.
Katherine Kelly Lang, who has been playing Brooke Logan since the first episode on March 23, 1985, posted on Instagram. “First day back on set after the summer break — behind the scenes from our brand-new studios at Sunset Las Palmas, the new home of @boldandbeautifulcbs!”
“There’s something magical about stepping into new studios after 38 years… a mix of excitement, fresh beginnings, and the chance to create a whole new chapter of memories and stories,” Lang added as she thanked the viewers and fans for watching and supporting the show.
The Bold and the Beautiful stars share their move
Ashley Jones, who plays Brooke and Eric’s (John McCook) daughter Bridget Forrester, gave fans a behind-the-scenes sneak peek last week. With the new sets behind her, she showed a glimpse of what they look like and invited viewers to buy a ticket to the event and get a tour.
Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) also showed off the show’s new digs on his Instagram account. “@boldandbeautifulcbs ‘s first shooting day at our incredible new home, Sunset Las Palmas Studios @sunsetstudios.global . This legendary lot was founded in 1919 and numerous motion picture and television productions have been shot there since. It’s a pretty special place! Feels like going back in time. ONWARD AND UPWARD 😎❤️‼️ ANNNDDD…..Had to stop at the other legend, @theformosa for some takeout on the way home.😋
Diamont wasn’t kidding about the legendary history of the studio. He shared photos that can be seen throughout the studio lot’s buildings of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz in I Love Lucy, Mae West, Laurel and Hardy, George Burns and Gracie Allen, and The Lone Ranger.
New episodes of the show are being filmed at Sunset Las Palmas now, and will be seen in the coming weeks. Catch The Bold and the Beautiful weekdays on CBS or stream on Paramount Plus.
