It won't be long now until The Bold and the Beautiful's Brooke Logan has another man to think about aside from her "destiny" Ridge. Jack Wagner is bringing Nick Marone back on Monday, June 16th, for a summer story that will culminate in beautiful Italy.
The Bold and the Beautiful's Wagner plays a new Nick

Wagner first brought Nick to life more than 20 years ago when he originated the character back in 2003. He remained with the soap until 2012, and then made a brief appearance in 2022 for the soap's 35th anniversary. Nick was featured in Brooke's dream about the men in her life.
Wagner told Soap Opera Digest that his return came about after a chance meeting with Brad Bell on the golf course, during which he offered to do some promotional work for the soap when he was in Italy. That resulted in a surprise phone call a few weeks later.
"So he goes, 'Do you think you have time to do a summer story arc on The Bold and the Beautiful? I have an idea. We can finish shooting in Naples because Nick would run Marone shipping by then,'" Wagner explained. "And I’m, like, going, 'Okay.'"
Wagner describes the 2025 version of Nick as being "fearless" and "confident" now that he has become a shipping magnate.
"I played this man confident, which gave me the ability to be fun-loving with Brooke, to be charming with her, and then also to pick times where it’s very poignant and intimate and direct and truthful," Wagner said. "So she really had to confront herself, and I think that was the key to their being a possibility, by the time I leave, [of a] shift [within Brooke], that she wakes up and sees, like, ‘Wow, I’m going nowhere with Ridge, and maybe Nick is my future.’ That was really the goal here."
A future for Brooke and Nick?

While Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) has been pining for Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) for months while he romances Taylor (Rebecca Budig), Nick's summer return can change things and pave the way for another chapter in their love story. Wagner said he is open to the possibility of another return, so this summer's story lends itself to that.
"Bold and the Beautiful got a three-year pickup," Wagner noted. "I think for [Brad Bell], he sees an opportunity here to have this be a first chapter, potentially, for the Nick and Brooke characters...It’s like, a little jaw-dropping, this cliffhanger...I think there’s potential for Nick to have life on B&B, especially coming back to win Brooke back."
Perhaps Brooke will soon start thinking of another destiny, after all.
