Lisa Yamada was born on September 5, 2002, and is fluent in both Japanese and English. The actress began her career over a decade ago and has had roles in a variety of TV series, including The Haunted Hathaways, Uncle Buck, Party of Five, Little Fires Everywhere, Never Have I Ever, Cruel Summer, and The Rookie.

She was also just cast in the new Legally Blonde prequel series that will stream on Amazon Prime.

Yamada celebrated her birthday one day early and shared photos and a video of the occasion in her Instagram stories.

When Yamada first began playing Luna in 2023, she was just another Forrester intern who took a liking to a Forrester. Luna was sweet and smart and could do no wrong. Then, we learned she was quite a troubled young woman who faked a paternity test to make it look like Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was her father. She also killed two men and ended up behind bars.

Bill gave Luna a second chance by allowing her to live with him on house arrest before having her pardoned. Luna squandered that chance by going after Steffy with a gun and ended up taking a bullet. Luna's Grandma-Aunt Li (Naomi Matsuda) faked Luna's death and nursed her back to health, just as she did with Finn three years ago.

Luna is currently squandering her third chance after tricking Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) into having sex with her, but all of Luna's crazy acts have earned Yamada a Daytime Emmy nomination this year, along with her close friend, Christian Weissmann.

Weissmann recurs as Remy Price on The Bold and the Beautiful, and he might be the only friend that Luna has. He even taught her how to shoot a gun when she was after Steffy.

When Luna was revealed as a killer, Yamada embraced the change and transformed her young character into a next-generation Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Then, B&B chose to make Luna and Sheila grandmother and granddaughter, with Sheila as the saner character in this scenario.

Soap Central wishes Lisa Yamada a very happy birthday and many more.
