The Christmas Eve edition centered on the Forrester Family, focusing on spending quality time together, and there wasn't much forward momentum in the story. Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) kissed under the mistletoe, and Eric (John McCook) transformed into Santa Claus for his great-grandchildren. It was a harmless episode that served its purpose to entertain viewers right before the holiday. However, things will return to form on Friday's all-new episode.

The fallout of Katie's (Heather Tom) defection from Forrester Creations truly begins as she finds herself in total disbelief that she has her own fashion house. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) secretly doubts her sister's ability to turn this into a success, so there's a lot riding on Katie's competency in the position. She has a lot that she needs to get done before she can ever throw her name in the ring as a power player in the industry. The first step for the solo Logan is to assemble a world-class design team.

Deke (Harrison Cone) was recently let go at Forrester to make room for Thomas's (Matthew Atkinson) return. He's a little rough around the edges, but that's something that can be overcome with legitimate experience. Katie needs to cement her status as an industry titan, and bringing in a hot, fresh, young designer with modern, sleek designs is exactly the way to get people talking.

Elsewhere in Friday's episode, Will (Crew Morrow) evidently hosts a gathering featuring Electra (Laneya Grace), Finn (Tanner Novlan), and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). However, if it stopped there, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for why they're hanging out, but it would make more sense than the reality. Dylan (Sydney Bullock), the woman who struck Luna (Lisa Yamada) with her car, killing her, and then, when on an apology tour, will be joining them. It's the oddest group of people, but it's nice that she won't be alone for the holidays.

It's difficult to understand why Finn would spend Christmas with the woman responsible for his daughter's death. While it was deemed an accident and Dylan had no malicious intent, it's still bizarre to celebrate the holiday with her. Dylan's story has vastly overstayed its welcome, and it's beginning to be perplexing as to why she remains on the canvas. Her role could've ceased to exist after the initial incident at the beach house. Instead, the powers that be have dragged her lifeless plot across the entire year, bringing her back as a plot device for Luna's death.

To make things even more complicated, spoilers suggest that Dylan could be entering into some sort of love triangle with Will and Electra. The last time someone inserted themselves into their relationship, they ended up sexually assaulting Will, getting themselves pregnant, and eventually struck and killed by Dylan herself. There's no way it ends well, and Dylan could very well become the next villain on the show.
