What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

The Forrester mansion was fully decorated for the holidays, and Eric soaked in the festive atmosphere. However, he couldnβt stop looking over at the secret design that he planned to unveil to his entire family. Donna asked him if he was doing okay, and he admitted he had been reflecting on past Christmases and how this one compared to them. Eric hinted at potential surprises in store for the family event.
Carter and Daphne arrived first for the extravaganza, soon followed by Brooke and Ridge. Carter and Daphne shared a kiss under the mistletoe. Ridge loved how close Daphne and Carter had gotten recently, and Carter was quick to notice Ridge staring at him. Steffy, Finn, and the kids were the next to make an appearance, and the children instantly brought youthful holiday cheer to the event.
Steffy was happy to see Brooke at the mission earlier in the day, with both carrying on Stephanieβs tradition of giving back to the community. Eric tried to discuss his new design with Ridge, but his son wasnβt interested. He felt it could wait and that he could view it later.
Eric brushed it off for the time being, and he gave a speech about the warmth and laughter that filled his home for Christmas. He did his best to embrace the spirit of Christmas for the sake of the children, but his annoyance at being dismissed again by Ridge was plastered all over his face.
Ridge pulled Eric aside for the second time and expressed concern about seeing Eric at the office earlier in the day. However, Eric told him not to worry and opted to focus on the holiday instead.
Steffy gave a speech of her own about how grateful she was to have a supportive husband like Finn and to her family members. She kept her words short and sweet, and Hayes stole the show by expressing how much he loved his parents and, of course, Santa Claus.
Finn chimed in that they were blessed to have a happy and healthy family. He thought that Steffy enriched his life, and they shared a kiss. Daphne spoke next, originally believing that sheβd spend Christmas alone, but now she had Carter and the Forrester family to lean on, as they welcomed her with open arms. Carter echoed the sentiment and shared kind words about Daphne and his friendships with Eric and Ridge.
Donna thanked everyone for coming to their home to celebrate Christmas together as a family. She looked to Eric and acknowledged how much the holiday meant to him. Brooke expressed how happy she was to see Eric and Donna thriving in their marriage, and she was joyful that she and Ridge had found their way back to one another.
Eric again hinted at surprises down the pipeline for the rest of the event. Ridge was confused about the surprise, but he shifted gears to give a speech about Eric being the glue of the Forrester family. Eric held the entire family together, and Ridge led everyone in a toast to βEric, 'The Glue' Forrester.β
Carter overheard Brooke and Ridge talking about Ericβs impromptu trip to Forrester Creations. However, everyone quickly realized that Eric and Donna were nowhere to be found. Eric and Donna suddenly arrived at the door, dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus, something that filled the children (and the adults) with immense glee.
The kids opened their presents, elated at the new gifts they received from Eric Claus. Steffy and Finn kissed under the mistletoe, following in Carter and Daphneβs footsteps from earlier in the night. Eric returned dressed in his normal attire, and Hayes told his great-grandfather that he wished he couldβve seen Santa in action.
Ridge pulled Eric aside for a third time, and he asked if the Santa suit was his big surprise that he kept hinting at. Ridge brought up the office visit again, and Eric confessed that he was there to retrieve the Santa suits for the fun Christmas moment. Besides that, he wanted to reminisce about his time at the company. Eric decided to embrace retirement fully and promised Ridge he would be okay.
Eric gave a final speech about it being the best Christmas Eve theyβd ever spent at the house. He had many holidays, and with a life as long as his, there was a lot of time to reflect on those in his life. He encouraged everyone to be thankful every day for what they have. Ridge chimed in as well, saying that everyone should carry the spirit of Christmas with them all year long.
As the Forrester tradition goes, everyone gathered by the piano as Eric led them through an array of classic Christmas carols.
