The Bold and the Beautiful's Rome Flynn (ex-Zende Forrester) is already swoon-worthy, but he's about to become doubly so. The fan-favorite actor has boarded Amazon's upcoming romantic comedy With Love, where he'll be playing a character who sounds very similar to one of literature's most irresistible romantic leads.
According to Deadline, the feel-good series follows the Diaz siblings, Lily (Emeraude Toubia) and Jorge (Mark Indelicato), who are on a mission to find love and purpose. The brother and sister's journey sees them crossing paths with seemingly unrelated residents during the holidays.
Flynn will play Santiago Zayas, an Afro-Cuban American who is considered a modern-day version of Mr. Darcy, Jane Austen's aloof romantic hero from Pride and Prejudice. Santiago is described as a "well educated" character who "prefers books to TV." Though he is "a man of few words," he has "lots of heart for the right person."
With Love also stars Isis King as Sol Perez, Lily and Jorge's cousin who's a non-binary oncology resident who is finally opening themselves up to love with a handsome doctor they work with; Todd Grinnell as Dr. Miles Murphy, a reconstructive plastic surgeon with a good heart who has eyes for Sol; and Desmond Chiam as Nick Zhao, Jorge's best friend and roommate who has never taken love seriously -- until now.
All episodes of With Love will be written and executive produced by series creator Calderón Kellet. The pilot episode will be directed and executive produced by Meera Menon.
Rome Flynn played B&B's Zende from 2015 to 2017. He went on to play R.K. in The Haves and the Have Nots, Gabriel Maddox on How to Get Away With Murder, David in Dear White People, and Tevin Wakefield in Raising Dion.
