Sheila Carter to the Rescue? The Bold and the Beautiful Two Scoops for the week of June 2, 2025

The Bold and the Beautiful has a new Sheila Carter now, so the O.G. can finally mellow and become the heroine she has always wanted to be. Maybe. All we know is if one of soap history's nuttiest characters is alarmed by an unhinged girl's behavior, then Steffy has a problem on her hands. (Doesn't she always?)

Leave town, Luna

Poor (no, we jest) Luna Nozawa spent the week hearing the same refrain from everyone she encountered and nagged. "Leave town, Luna." The more she heard it, the loonier Luna became. From Sheila to Finn to Bill, Luna was rejected over and over again. She also can't see why.

At least Deacon tried to show her why. Behind his bar, framed photos of Tom and Hollis hang on the wall, the two men Luna murdered last summer for no real reason. Since she feels bad for her little indiscretion, she believes that it should absolve her of all wrongdoing, and everyone should now bow at her feet.

By the time Bill dealt one last blow to Luna's ego, she was ready for target practice because now she was gunning for Steffy.

Who is this woman before us?

Sheila took quite a journey of her own this week as it slowly hit her that she created a monster. She did her best to guide Luna over the last few months because she wanted to see the girl establish a relationship with her father, but even Sheila could see there was only so far you could push.

Watching the alarm bells go off in Sheila's head, the second Luna talked about eliminating Steffy felt like a full-circle moment for the character. Sheila knew that Luna was heading down the same path she had followed so many times before and was desperate to stop her, but telling Luna to get the heck out of town only seemed to make things worse.

Deacon must make one heck of a pizza, because he seems to have created a whole new Sheila Carter. She even confessed her duplicity to her husband and told him that she had been seeing Luna and establishing a relationship with her behind his back. Sheila must also be something because Deacon forgave her in a flash. We guess that is...true love. Or, at least some warped version where Sheila likes calling her man "Daddy."

Sheila's desperation to stop Luna became urgent and apparent with her many calls to Steffy and Finn to warn them, as well as with her meeting with Poppy. Is she about to step in front of a bullet meant for Steffy as her next trick?

Oh, Poppy

While we agree that Poppy might not have been the best mother to Luna and Luna didn't have the best childhood, Poppy has a point that kids have had much worse upbringings and still never resorted to double murder. However, Poppy seems to have wiped her hands of the girl when she may be the only person who can get through to her.

She didn't really want to hear what Sheila had to say, but she made sure to insist she loved her daughter despite never contacting her and telling Luna she wanted nothing at all to do with her. We get it, but we also don't get it. Mothers should love their daughters, even if they are nuts. We guess.

Bill really, really needs to explain himself

Dollar Bill Spencer remains the most perplexing character in this story. He got Luna out of jail, kept her in his mansion under house arrest for months, made sure she got a pardon, and then kicked her right out to face the world on her own. Seriously, why?

His "connection" with her since they both had fatherless upbringings never made any sense because we run into people with fatherless upbringings every day. Soap characters are especially good at this. His rejection of Luna this week was as confusing as when he kicked her out of the house. He didn't even know she had become undone and was aiming to kill Steffy. It was just a matter of one day he wanted to help her, and then one day, he didn't.

Liam is still dying

We took a break from our regularly scheduled Liam Spencer Death Watch for more lunacy from Luna, but Liam and his tumor still poked through a bit. In case you were wondering, Liam's bucket list consists of Hope and Steffy being happy and getting along. Therefore, he can cross these things off his list and be satisfied.

Liam's mission is done, but his death and dying story is not. Since it is currently the only true compelling story on the show, can we get back to it once this Luna nonsense is over? We suspect it's not more than a plot device so the lovely Jacqueline MacInnes Wood can take maternity leave soon.

Ridge's missed meeting

We got a reprieve from Brooke humiliating herself while begging her destiny to return to her this week. In fact, Brooke wasn't even on Ridge's mind (for now). Nope, he played hooky from work and canceled a meeting, all so he could spend time with Taylor. They, in turn, just had to remind us how lucky their precious Steffy was. Did you know that Steffy and Finn were so in love? If you didn't, Taylor and Ridge were there to keep you informed.

Taylor and Ridge also seem very much in love, but we all know what's coming. A trip to Italy can change all that, so Taylor better be on high alert. Once this Luna story ends, Taylor's heart just might break again...
