THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL BEST OF THE WEEK
MOMENTS

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) would have gone into the ocean to save anyone this side of Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), but the fact that he braved the waters of Italy to save Brooke from drowning was so heroic and romantic! Swoon! We knew that Ridge and Brooke would find their way back to one another. B&B threw us a lovely surprise by having a physical danger be the catalyst that got Ridge to admit how he truly feels about his beloved "Logan."
It's nice to see Sheila show a softer side to her baby-stealing, gun-toting, kidnapping, murdering self. Sheila appeared to have genuine concern for Li (Naomi Matsuda), the woman she nearly killed when Li's car ran off a bridge. Brown has maintained that all Sheila wants is to be loved. She has that know with Deacon (Sean Kanan), and her change appears to be real.
Liam's (Scott Clifton) and Hope's (Annika Noelle) reactions to learning that Grace (Cassandra Creech) lied about his brain cancer to get money from Bill (Don Diamont) were palpable, to say the least! It's quite a challenge to go from zero to 60, but that's just what the two actors did! Bravo!
Before Brooke came to, following her boating mishap, she recalled happy moments with Ridge. The trip down memory lane was an effective way to get more beautiful remote footage (from Dubai, it sure looked like) onto the screen! Bravo!
SMILES EVERYBODY!

Seeing Ridge's POV (point of view) when Brooke came to was well done! Ridge doesn't smile a ton, but the joy on his face was great to see!
SCENES

Kudos to Cassandra Creech for the scenes in which Dr. Grace Buckingham, her character, broke down and admitted that Liam's surgery was all a hoax so she could get the money from Bill. We wanted to hate her, but the fact that Grace needed the money to pay off Reese's (Wayne Brady) gambling debts? Well, we couldn't help but feel bad for a mother who wanted to protect her daughters from the folks who wanted Reese's debts repaid.
SHEER MADNESS

Sheila may not have known Li had their granddaughter, Luna (Lisa Yamada), in a secret location while nursing her back to health. Still, her instincts told her something was going on. The moment Sheila laid eyes on Luna was a powerful one. B&B got a solid bang for its buck on that one!
NOTABLES

How ironic that Nick (Jack Wagner), who has lived so much of his life on the sea, would have a mishap on the sea that indirectly (or maybe even directly?) led to Brooke and Ridge's inevitable reunion.
Poor Taylor (Rebecca Budig). She needs to run in the opposite direction if Ridge ever comes near her again. That's the advice she'd give a patient who came to her who was in a similar situation, right?
B&B is known for its romance, fashion show, and attention to family. It's never placed a big emphasis on action and adventure, but that certainly wasn't the case when Ridge dove into the ocean to save Brooke.
THAT'S AMORE!

The establishing shots of not just Italy, but also of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, continue to be a draw for B&B viewers. The camerawork on the locales is both -- wait for it -- bold and beautiful. The beautiful scenery of Italy continues to play a huge role in our B&B viewing pleasure. It's like the international locale is another character in the show, the same way that New York City was in Sex and the City!
Donna (Jennifer Gareis) commented to Katie (Heather Tom) that they'd known Ridge since they were practically teenagers. Forget the "practically," Donna. It was indeed since you and Katie were teenagers.
Grace might not have confessed had Finn (Tanner Novlan) not continued to press his colleague on Liam's condition. The Spencers and everyone else might never have put two and two together, but Novlan's character did. The actor's not a doctor, but he plays one on TV. It's only logical that he'd start to see that something was amiss when he took a look at Liam's records.

Hope slapped Grace the way Stephanie used to slap Brooke! That's how powerful the Hope For The Future designer's hit was! It was almost as if Hope was hitting Reese because of what he did to Liam and Hope over Beth.
Are we missing any on-screen familial references to Ridge and Nick? The two men aren't just rivals for Brooke's affections. They're half-brothers as Massimo Marone (the late Joe Mascolo) was both Ridge and Nick's dad.
FASHION

Brooke donned some stylish sunglasses by Tom Ford to keep the sun out of her eyes while she was in Italy
Grace got all dressed up for when she confessed to Liam and Hope by wearing a black blazer with white trims
Sheila wore a casual beige top at work, and when she confronted Li
QUOTABLES
Brooke hears from Ridge the words she's wanted to hear for months

Ridge: "I was a jerk when you took over the CEO position after Carter did what he did."
Brooke: "Yeah. You were a jerk...you got so upset that you ran to Taylor, you ended up with her practically overnight. You didn't even talk to me about it, Ridge."
Dr. Grace Buckingham tries to hide what she did to Liam from Finn after he told her that he saw Liam
Grace: "It's nice of you to make a house call."
Finn: "He's part of my family, and, of course, I'm going to check in on him, and see how he's doing, especially after such an invasive procedure."
Grace: "He's very lucky to have you."
Finn: "And he's also lucky that Bill had a million dollars to pay for the experimental procedure."
Katie to Donna on Ridge's everlasting love for Brooke
Katie: "He still looks at her the same way as when they first met."
Deacon cautions Sheila about going over to Finn and Steffy's house because of her past with Steffy
Sheila: "It's okay. Steffy, she's out of town. Although I've got to tell you, I think she and I could get along."
Deacon: "You mean because you risked your life to stop Luna from killing her?"
Grace confesses to Liam and Hope that she made him think he was dying of brain cancer

Liam: "Why would...why would you do that, Dr. Buckingham?"
Hope: "I can think of why. A million reasons."
Hope: "You are just as bad as your ex-husband, that evil, sadistic man who stole our daughter for money!"
Grace: "They threatened me! They threatened my daughters' lives!! I was desperate. I had to do something to protect my family!"
Hope: "So you decided to come after ours."
