The Bold and the Beautiful's Brooke, Nick, Ridge, and Eric fly to Italy — and certain disaster

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Italy is about to be drama central with colliding emotions and storylines. Can Ridge get through his trip without coming to blows with Nick and keep his engagement intact?

The Bold and the Beautiful: Marone plays games with Ridge

The promotional trip to Italy for Forrester Creations is set to be an absolute nightmare for Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). They haven't even left yet, and Nick Marone (Jack Wagner) is already causing a problem by withholding a container of silk that Forrester Creations needs to complete its designs. Now, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't allow someone like Marone and his shipping organization to be responsible for products deemed important to one's career. While they claim they didn't know which shipping company was used, now that Nick's sniffing around the office, maybe they should have looked into it sooner. (Although one would think Ridge would have seen it on the myriad of times he was chasing up the order to see where it was.) Best to just squash that nonsense, and fast.

Nick, Brooke, and Destiny

It’s no secret that, apart from Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Taylor (Rebecca Budig), everyone wants to see Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and her Destiny back together. Oh, wait, there's one more on Team Naysayer: Nick Marone. Out of nowhere, Nick came to town and asked Brooke to sail away with him — and the amount of latitude she gives him without shutting him down is ridiculous. For someone so dead set on being with Ridge, she sure has a funny way of showing it.

Of course, she just wants to make Ridge jealous, but the man did appear to be quite happy with Taylor. They are engaged, but maybe that's not enough. How could Ridge put an end to this nonsense? How about calling everyone to the CEO's office (they're probably already there instead of their own offices) and, with Taylor at his side, telling them all to stay out of his personal life and focus on the business? The amount of time they all spend meddling in the affairs of others it’s a wonder that the company meets any of its deadlines — even when they have silk on hand.

A disaster in Italy looms

We are nearing the Forrester Italy trip, and there are many other agendas underway. Brooke and Eric (John McCook) both want Ridge to reunite with Brooke in the very country and setting where it always happens. Add in Nick Marone, who will go to great lengths to charm Brooke, and is already always at odds with Ridge, and we have a recipe for a soapy disaster.

Stay tuned, soap fans; next week could see sparks fly — or fists. (We’re going to bet on both!) When the dust settles, we'll see if Ridge gets his compass fixed and lets it point him home to Taylor.
