The Bold and the Beautiful's Hope Logan made a monumental decision this week — or at least Carter Walton made it for her. However, we all knew where Hope's mind and heart were headed thanks to the honest and subtle performance by the always impeccable Annika Noelle.

Hope's moment of truth

It was easy to see how torn Hope was during her morning time with Liam (Scott Clifton) and Beth (Jordyn Ariza) in Brooke's living room. She loved watching father and daughter together after mistakenly thinking those moments would be coming to an end soon. Noelle displayed the sheer relief and gratitude in Hope's heart without having to say a word.

But when Hope got to the Forrester showroom, you could see the agony she was in as she tried to put on a happy face for her mother. Eventually, she had to admit that she was having second thoughts about marrying Carter (Lawerence Saint-Victor) because all her thoughts were on Liam. When Hope finally told Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) the truth, that her feelings for Liam had been reawakened, you could hear the relief in her voice. She finally admitted it to herself, as well as to Brooke.

Hope ran the gamut of emotions from that moment on, as she recalled the worst time in her life when she thought she had lost Beth. The pain in her voice and face was palpable as Hope confessed that Thomas' (Matthew Atkinson) part in all of that might have been why she was unable to commit to him fully. Then came Hope's big surprise.

The Bold and the Beautiful future

When Hope reluctantly put on a happy face for Carter after he summoned her to Eric's office, Noelle took Hope from confusion to elation within minutes. She couldn't imagine what Carter was trying to tell her about Forrester Creations' latest fashion line, but when she heard that Hope For The Future would be returning, Hope's joy was infectious — until Carter suggested they celebrate by getting that very day.

Noelle tried to keep that smile plastered on Hope's face, but we knew exactly what she was thinking. And eventually, so did Carter. The tears flowed as Carter finally realized that all Hope wanted was to be with Beth and Liam for the daddy-daughter dance.

Beneath those tears was sheer relief — not that Hope had hurt Carter, but that Hope was finally free. When she joined Beth and Liam for their little dance, Hope didn't have to say a word. All she had to do was smile, and it was the most at peace Hope had looked in a long, long time.
