Brooke, Ridge, and Hope viewed some of the latest Hope For The Future designs, and they seemed confused about the overall direction. Brooke felt like nothing grabbed her attention. Ridge also believed that she needed something great and fresh and shouldn't settle for good. Hope said there were a few potential designers in the applied bunch, and she looked forward to hearing Ridge's thoughts.

Ridge believed Hope needed an intern to help her go through everything. However, Hope couldn't think of interns without remembering Luna's previous position. She knew Luna was alive, but she couldn't wrap her head around it all. Not only was Luna alive, but she was pregnant with Will's baby. Hope ran down the long list of crimes Luna committed and expressed worry for her father.

Hope spotted Deke lurking outside the showroom and called him into the room, where he greeted Brooke and Ridge. They asked him what finally brought him into town, and he responded by saying "family." Ridge, never one to mince words, turned to Hope and said, "Good. You finally have some help... babysitting your dad."

Deke expressed his excitement to Ridge about Hope's line being reinstated. He said it wasn't a nepo-opinion either. However, Ridge said the success of Hope's line remained to be seen, but he was hopeful for the future. They discussed Deacon's latest woes, but Ridge, ever the cynic, said he hoped the latest crisis was enough for Deacon to finally kick Sheila to the curb.

Deke and Hope left the showroom, which gave Brooke a chance to express gratitude at Ridge's choice to bring back the line. She admitted she didn't think he did it for Forrester’s success. Instead, she pondered the possibility of him doing it because of her, to which Ridge responded, "Happy life, happy wife, right?" Brooke expressed that she was excited to have another shot at marriage with him, but something was nagging her. She wondered how Taylor was doing, since Ridge opted for destiny over her, yet again.

Brooke admitted she was genuinely concerned about Taylor's future. She wanted happiness for Taylor, and she said that with their new marriage, Taylor had new possibilities, which could include a new man.

In one of the design rooms, Deke overheard Hope speaking with a potential designer for the line. Hope and Deke admitted that they tried to be supportive of their father's marriage because it was the right thing to do. However, they couldn't fathom that Sheila was the one he chose. Deke remarked, "She's terrible, right? Like a genuine homicidal maniac. That's the woman that Dad chooses, like he can't do better." Hope thought any woman in Los Angeles would be better for Deacon than Sheila.

Hope thought Deacon moving on, without Sheila, was the best choice for him. Deke seemed to agree.

Deacon and Taylor spoke on the phone about how their session ended abruptly, and he hoped she'd be able to continue their sessions. She informed him that she had a last-minute cancellation, and she could make time for him. Before Deacon could leave, Sheila arrived at Il Giardino and professed how badly she missed her husband.

Deacon didn't want to hear anything from Sheila. Her relation to Luna wasn't enough of a reason for him to forgive the behavior. Deacon felt completely betrayed by her, but she assured Luna was no longer a threat to them. She confirmed Luna was in police custody and vowed never to keep a Luna-related secret from her again. She assured him that Luna would have a long stint in prison, and she wanted them to work through things together. She told him, "I need my husband. This is crazy that we're not working through this together. Just come home, Deacon. I need you. Please, just come home."

Sheila acknowledged that the path toward forgiveness would take a while. She was willing to put in the work to make it happen. However, Deacon questioned whether he'd ever be able to forgive and forget. He referred to Luna as a horrible monster and said he couldn't get that out of his head. Still, Sheila didn't divert away from calling them husband and wife, and pushed Deacon to see a future.

Deacon revealed he'd been seeing someone to work through his problems. He explained he was seeing a genuine professional and that he needed to leave for the appointment. Sheila was concerned he wasn't seeing someone who knew what they were doing. Deacon quickly defended his choice of therapist and told Sheila that Taylor was the person he’d chosen to guide him during his difficult time.

Sheila was surprisingly relieved at the revelation of Taylor as his psychiatrist. She exclaimed, "She's one of the best. This is a good thing. I think that Taylor can really help. She can help you deal with your issues. She can bring you back to me, back where you belong." Deacon didn't acknowledge any of that and walked away. He left for his latest session with Taylor, and Sheila was heartbroken.

Taylor was elated to see Deacon on time for his next session and offered him a beverage to help relax a bit. He wanted to jump straight into the session and questioned if he dove into a relationship with Sheila too quickly. He thought he was foolish for believing she was capable of change. Before officially beginning their sessions, Taylor wanted Deacon to confirm he wanted to move forward with her. She had a lot of history with Sheila, most of it terrible, so she understood if he wanted someone further removed from the situation.

To Taylor's slight shock, Deacon stated he loved how close she was to the situation. Sheila had a colorful past, and he enjoyed not having to explain the bizarre nature to someone who didn't understand. Taylor asked to know the parts of Sheila that she wasn't aware of. She only knew the complicated parts, so it was important to hear the parts about Sheila that he loved to help guide him in the proper direction.

Taylor cautioned Deacon not to decide his marriage solely based on her notes. He had to decide that for himself. She couldn't give him the definitive direction on how to proceed with Sheila. Deacon was mostly concerned that Sheila could hit a breaking point down the road and fully snap.

Sheila appeared outside of Taylor's office and eavesdropped on her husband's session. Deacon wondered if change was possible, and Taylor confirmed it was. She reiterated that Deacon’s choice about his marriage needed to come from himself. Sheila's demeanor changed once Deacon showered Taylor with compliments. Taylor urged Deacon that any woman would be lucky to have him, and she recognized how far he had come.

The more they went through the session, the more Deacon appeared to veer on the side of ending his marriage. Taylor appreciated the compliments, but the session was over. Sheila opened the door and spotted Deacon and Taylor in an embrace. A sinister look overtook Sheila's face, something that spelled doom for Taylor.
