Hope's head spun from the news of Carter securing the Hope For The Future return. He told her, "There is nothing I wouldn't do for you, Hope, or your happiness. That's why I want to get married to you today." This came on the heels of her expressing apprehension about the pending nuptials to her mother, Brooke.

Back at the Forrester Mansion, Liam recalled Hope declaring her love for him. However, he was quickly brought back to reality by Beth coming downstairs, ready for the daddy-daughter dance.

In the new showroom, Brooke thanked Ridge for bringing back the Hope For The Future line. Ridge had done a 180-degree turn regarding her daughter, but Brooke told him that his best friend may be in for heartbreak. She informed Ridge, "I think her heart's being drawn back to Liam."

Daphne was at Il Giardino, where she heard that Open Mic night was back up and running. Daphne texted Carter and asked him if he would be interested in joining her. She quickly sent a follow-up saying, "If you don't have other plans, with Hope."

Brooke explained that Hope was conflicted and was second-guessing her engagement, and it seemed like Ridge didn't want to hear about Hope potentially putting her family back together.

Beth expressed a desire to have her parents get back together. She wanted Hope to attend the dance. However, Beth threw Liam off a bit when she asked, "Do you really think Mommy and Carter will actually get married?"

Back at Forrester, Beth wasn't the only one with reservations about the marriage. Hope declared that she does not want to get married on a whim. Although she didn't require a lavish wedding, some planning should go into it. Carter wanted to plan things immediately, but it appeared as if she was trying to buy herself more time. During their discussion, she received a photo of Beth, ready for the dance. She told Carter that Beth wanted her there, but Carter queried, "You want to be there with Beth and Liam tonight."

Ridge and Brooke declared neither knew what Hope was going to decide, but Brooke wanted her to follow her heart. Before they could discuss things further, Katie marched into the showroom, demanding to talk to them about something. Before she could get to that, Brooke interrupted to tell Katie, who serves as head of PR, about Hope's line being reinstated. Katie said there was "bigger news" that she needed to talk about that concerned Ridge's daughter, Steffy.

Liam assured Beth that it was normal to want her parents back together. He did his best to make sure she understood that they would always be a family despite their relationship status. The love for Beth remained unchanged, regardless of Hope's future with Carter.

Carter laughed at the idea of Hope attending the daddy-daughter dance because she was the mother. Hope droned on about how much this meant to Beth, and Carter went against his better judgment, as he encouraged Hope to be with her ex-husband and daughter on their special night.

Beth kept pushing the idea of Hope showing up in time for the dance, but it wasn't set in stone. Hope asked if Carter was genuinely supportive of her going to the dance, as she sensed a twinge of disappointment. She didn't know how long the dance would go on for, but he apprhensively declared she should "stay as long as it feels right." Carter's voice was sprinkled with the tone of defeat, and she tried to reassure him as much as possible. Hope expressed her gratitude over the revival of her line.

Carter didn't think that any of this was part of the plan, but they couldn't ignore the obvious. It wasn't working. Her connection with Liam was too strong, with his miraculous recovery rekindling the feelings, and he was talking as if the engagement were off. Carter resigned as he begged Hope to "give your daughter what she wants. Give her her parents back. That's what's in your heart." Carter and his now ex-fiance exchange a few tearful touches and one last kiss before he tells her, "Goodbye."

Bill didn't want Katie to expose the truth about Luna being alive, but she had to let them know. Katie exclaimed, "She's not dead. She's alive. Luna is alive," which left Brooke and Ridge too stunned to speak.

Liam and Beth danced the night away at the dance, which was evidently in their living room. They did one last dance together before the sun set for the evening, with Beth radiating hope for her mother's arrival.

Back at Il Giardino, Daphne was singing a sultry tune when Carter walked in, heartbroken from another failed engagement. With her song playing over the scene, Beth expressed joy at Hope, who had entered and joined her and her father in a final dance as a family.

In an instant, Carter was lovestruck again, pulled in by the vocal musings of Daphine. After the performance, he proclaimed she was right about everything, and he was merely a "loser in love."

Liam noticed the ring missing from Hope's finger, and the pair shared a longing glance at the prospect of rekindling what was once lost for good.
