A simple branding argument has turned into one of the most intense family feuds on The Bold and the Beautiful in a while. Brooke insists she alone deserves the Logan name, which sets off a big fight with Katie, who won’t give in. Even though Carter tried to secure the trademark for Brooke, Katie ended up getting it. The situation worsened when Brooke confronted Katie, who accused her of jealousy over Bill.

According to Wednesday’s spoilers, Bill finally loses his patience after seeing Brooke and Ridge brush off Katie’s new fashion house as just a side project. They act like she’s bound to fail and don’t see her as real competition. They’re more interested in protecting Brooke’s pride than the Forrester brand. Things get tense when Bill angrily confronts Ridge. There is no love lost between the two, and every interaction leads to some form of a blowup.

Carter blames Bill for damaging Brooke and Katie’s relationship, potentially both privately and in the heat of the moment if Bill’s confrontation with Ridge turns public. Although Carter is the COO and a family friend, he doesn't have much of a leg to stand on. He stripped the entire company away from Ridge not too long ago, something he and Spencer have in common. He knows exactly what could drive someone like Katie to take matters into her own hands.

Katie and Brooke's issues go well beyond wanting control over the Logan name. At the end of Tuesday's episode, Katie outright accused Brooke of jealousy over Bill choosing her. Brooke's past with Bill is a sensitive subject for everyone, and it permanently altered Katie. Although Brooke is committed to Ridge in the present, that doesn't erase the past. Bill and Katie are in a much better place, but his presence in their lives immediately reopens old wounds, even if he does nothing wrong.

Brooke has a history of trampling on whomever she needs to, in order to get what she wants. Katie is not spared from this. Brooke treats her the same way she treats anyone that she views as competition.
