If 2025 proved anything on The Bold and the Beautiful, it’s that logic is optional, and the show loves to recycle storylines. Some storylines (and relationships) refused to die, while other characters spent the year learning absolutely nothing. This year delivered plenty of moments that left viewers squinting at their screens, asking the same simple question. Make it make sense. We compiled the wildest and wackiest awards to give to the residents of Los Angeles who somehow seemed to have their most dramatic year yet, which is saying something.
1) Character Who Treated Boundaries Like Suggestions

Most rational people would understand that you are simply not allowed to stalk your spouse outside of their therapy session. However, Sheila has had a difficult time in 2025 staying away from Deacon and Taylor’s sessions and letting the process play out. While it’s understandable that she would want to know the intimate details of Deacon’s sessions, she went about it in all the wrong ways.
Not only has Sheila lurked outside their appointments while they were in progress, but she has also made several unannounced visits to Taylor’s office, crossing the boundaries set for her.
2) Most Forced Chemistry

Hope and Liam in 2025 do not have the same spark they once shared. The chemistry is just now there. It’s understandable that he is the Crown Prince of Waffling, second only to Ridge, but was anyone clamoring for a Hope and Liam reunion? They broke up for several reasons, but one of the main reasons was her connection to Thomas.
Now that Thomas is back on the canvas, what is preventing history from repeating itself? Their entire reunion was centered on putting their family back together so a small child could be happy. Hope and Liam have had several scenes since their wedding, but none of them have been with each other. The reunion is a flop, and it’s not too late to correct course.
3) Best Scene the Show Accidentally Forgot About

Perhaps no couple had more potential for 2025 than Deke and Remy, and the show completely squandered it. Soap couples often go through trials and tribulations. That’s just a part of the genre. However, Deke’s reveal at Forrester that Remy was his secret boyfriend should’ve had a more far-reaching impact. Everyone was floored and disgusted that Remy creeped his way back into their orbit. Deke asked for some space to think things through, and then about a month and a half went by before Remy was even mentioned.
The scene was incredible, with so many layers. Hope didn’t know what to do for her brother, whereas Electra and Will were immediately angry at seeing his face again. Remy pleaded his case and made a compelling argument about being a changed man. This could’ve been followed up in some capacity, but instead, the focus shifted to Deke doing family therapy and being fired by Forrester Creations. Remy made a one-off appearance recently to talk things through with Deke, but as before, there are no additional scenes to follow up on it.
4) Character Who Learned Nothing All Year

Carter loves a rushed relationship. He and Hope called off their engagement, and it took him mere minutes to move toward a potential romance with Daphne. Although the coupling hasn’t moved beyond a snail’s pace, it was evidence that Carter refuses to learn from his mistakes.
Carter jumps from relationship to relationship, ready to put a ring on whatever woman is willing to give him the time of day. This always ends in heartbreak for the Forrester COO, and it’s time that he learns from the past. If things don’t work out between Carter and Daphne, it might be best if he takes some time to be alone and reflect on why things never seem to progress beyond a certain point.
5) The “What Was This Even About?” Award

It was impossible not to give this award a tie because there are two specific things that boggled the mind more than others. First, the scene between Steffy and Finn, half-naked and feeding each other, was nauseating to watch, and no one should be forced to see it again. Every time the two are on camera together, they are barely wearing anything, and it’s the same song and dance every time. While it makes sense to give them some lighter scenes after a few years of torture, it gets to a point.
The other scene that left viewers wondering, “What was this even about?” has to be the current homelessness storyline with Dylan. This was a character who makes no sense as an ongoing player, but they’re committed to this bizarre PSA-style plot about her having nowhere to live. The scene of Will and Electra looking up statistics about homeless college students was jarring and felt extremely out of place.
6) Worst Secret at Staying a Secret

By the time Steffy returned from Europe, she was practically the only person in Los Angeles who didn't know Luna was still alive. Luna’s resurrection was meant to be a well-kept secret, but more and more people began to uncover the truth. Before she was turned in to the police, the number of people who knew she was alive and well is staggering. Li, Sheila, Deacon, Remy, Finn, Poppy, Brooke, Ridge, Bridget, Will, Electra, Bill, Katie, and Ivy were all clued in about it before anyone took the proper route and phoned the authorities to send her back to prison.
7) Character Who Made Everything About Themselves

Katie stepping out of Brooke’s shadow and attempting to make a name for herself with her own fashion house should have been cause for celebration. Instead, Brooke was stuck on the fact that Katie opted to name the company Logan, and went on a belittling rant that may fracture their relationship forever. Brooke demanded that Katie cease using “her name,” seemingly implying that Katie's presence in the industry is nothing compared to hers. It was a gross display of narcissism, and Katie (rightfully) tore Brooke to shreds about all of his misdeeds in response. Brooke has an impressive lack of self-awareness, and even her own sister fell victim to Brooke’s ego.
8) Character Who Deserved Better Writing

The show backed Luna into a corner and lost a phenomenally talented actor in the process. Luna was irredeemable by the end of her time on the soap. Luna became a parody of herself throughout the latter half of her tenure, and every episode was somehow worse than the last. Escaping prison in a laundry cart was the final straw, and it made sense why they felt compelled to write her out of the show. However, it is a shame because the woman behind the character is massively talented and was fresh off an Emmy win.
9) Character Who Should’ve Been Written Out… But Wasn’t
What is Dylan still doing in this program? She has served her purpose and then some. There’s absolutely no reason for her to still be lingering around Los Angeles, interfering in anyone’s lives, and serving up poster child realness for the homelessness epidemic. Not only was Dylan not needed after the hostage situation at the beach house, but once she was bizarrelt reevealed ot be Luna’s killer, that should have been the end of it. Whatever the obsession with maintaining her relevance is, it's trapping Will and Electra in a storyline that’s stunting their growth, both as a couple and as individual characters.
10) Best Scene Where Everyone Was Wrong

The forced retirement scene should have been about honoring Eric Forrester’s legacy, and it nearly got there on the strength of John McCook alone. His performance was layered with pride, hurt, and resolve, reminding viewers that Eric is not just a founder in name but the emotional backbone of this show. What soured the moment was Ridge, whose treatment of his father was nothing short of appalling. He spoke down to Eric, stripped him of agency, and framed control as concern in a way that felt deeply cruel.
Just as disappointing were Brooke and Steffy, who stood by and let it happen, offering no pushback and no protection for the man who built everything they benefit from. The scene worked because of McCook, not because of the choices around him, and it exposed how quickly this family will sideline its own when power is at stake.
