Why Bill Spencer needs a new love story on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Bill Spencer, Jr. (Don Diamont) has had quite the love life over the past sixteen years. His most recent romance was with Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) in 2024. But the shocking revelation that her daughter Luna (Lisa Yamada) wasn't Bill's daughter — and was also a murderer — put an end to it quicker than we can say "Dollar Bill."

It's hard to believe an uber-rich, handsome, successful businessman like Bill Spencer has no woman in his life. It would be great to get a break from the never-ending triangle of Brooke, Ridge, and Taylor, and, instead, if we could get a juicy new love story for Bill. Here are some of the reasons why he needs a new woman:

Bill wants to reunite with Katie on The Bold and the Beautiful, but she keeps telling him no

Katie (Heather Tom) is the woman Bill gravitates to the most on The Bold and the Beautiful because she makes him want to be a better man. She's the mother of his son, Will (Crew Morrow), the only son Bill had a chance to raise. She was his first wife and the first woman who made him believe in love. He's made a few attempts to reconcile with her over the years, but ever since he cheated on her with her own sister, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Katie is afraid to take a chance on him again, and we can't blame her.

Maybe one day, Bill and Katie will reunite, somehow. But in the meantime, it feels like he should move on and see if there's anyone else out there for him.

Brooke will always want her Destiny Ridge

Bill would be happy to reunite with his second wife, Brooke. But it would never work out, because she will always want Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), her "Destiny," more than any other man she's been involved with. So Bill would be second choice in her heart, or maybe even the third, since Nick Marrone (Jack Wagner) was back in town. Getting involved with Brooke again would also reignite the rivalry between Brooke and Katie, and their sisterly bond would be ruined.

Steffy is happily married to Finn

Once upon a time, Bill and Steffy had a brief fling, but he was married to Katie at the time. His one night with Steffy didn't happen until she was married to his son, Liam (Scott Clifton). But Steffy woke up the next morning and immediately regretted cheating on Liam, and she hasn't had any romantic interest in Bill since.

Since Steffy is happily married to Finn (Tanner Novlan), it doesn't look like the writers will revisit the short-lived passion she shared with Bill, even though many Still fans have spent years hoping for it.

Right now, Bill is determined to make Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) pay for the scam she pulled off involving Liam's fake tumor and the million dollars she swindled from Bill to perform what appeared to be life-saving surgery on Liam.

But once that story wraps up, it would be refreshing if a new female character moved to Los Angeles on The Bold and the Beautiful. Perhaps she owns a huge, successful publishing house that becomes Spencer Publications' main rival. She and Bill despise each other at first, then they slowly start to notice traits they have in common, which sparks a mutual attraction. It could be a captivating enemies-to-lovers story. Don Diamont would do a great job selling it.
