Days of our Lives Paternity Puzzle: Who is the real father of Sophia's baby?

Days of our Lives' teenage pregnancy story draws to a huge climax this week when Sophia goes into labor at her own high school graduation. From the looks of things, she doesn't just stun Tate. She shocks Aaron, too.

Days of our Lives' Aaron is back

Louis Tomeo returns to Salem this week as Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo), brother to Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord) and Felicity Greene (Kennedy Garcia), who are still living in Salem. Cat is thrilled to see that her brother is home and wants to walk with his class at graduation. He finished his studies a semester early, but still wants to be with his friends.

The last time we saw Aaron, he still had quite a crush on Sophia (Rachel Boyd). The two became good friends while Sophia pined for Tate and he pined for Holly (Ashley Puzemis), but did that friendship lead to something else? Aaron left town quite suddenly to spend some time with his newly returned mother, but is that the only reason he sprinted out of Salem?

A graduation surprise for Aaron...

Fans have been speculating for months that Sophia is not being totally truthful with Tate about the father of her child. As far as Tate knew, he was the only person that Sophia had sex with last fall, so when she said she was pregnant, he just assumed he was the father, and Sophia didn't correct him.

From the looks of the DAYS promo this week, Aaron is quite stunned to see Sophia go into labor, which means he might not have even known that she was pregnant. Did Aaron and Sophia also have sex last fall before Sophia turned to Tate? Maybe that was another reason that Aaron decided to leave town for a while — to get over the heartache.

Could Aaron be the father of Sophia's baby, meaning Sophia has been lying to everyone all of these months? Perhaps she doesn't even know who the father is, which would really drive her prim and proper mother bananas. She would owe a huge apology to Tate, but would certainly take her daughter to task for her errant behavior, from sleeping with two boys to lying about the consequences.
