Here’s your Days of our Lives recap for Friday, October 10, 2025, when Brady made a startling realization, Sarah consulted with Kayla about ethics, and Johnny and Chanel sparked a connection for Holly.
What happened on Days of our Lives

Javi and Leo were walking through the square when they ran into Chanel and Johnny. Overwhelmed by seeing Tesoro, Chanel ran off. Leo wondered aloud if the visit with the social worker had gone poorly. Before Javi could respond, he spotted Ari struggling to carry a trash bag through the square. Javi rushed to help his cousin. “How’s Holly?” Javi asked. Ari noted that Holly was physically okay, but emotionally upset. Ari admitted that she needed a new roommate.
Johnny caught up with Chanel outside the Brady Pub. Johnny wiped Chanel’s tears away, and he stressed that they would prove that they had been set up. Brady exited the pub, and he asked if they had talked to Holly. Johnny and Chanel told Brady that they believed Holly had not sent the pictures, but that Sophia had sent them. Chanel laid out their theory about Sophia’s motivations.
“We think she orchestrated this whole plan to make it look like I was having an affair with Holly,” Johnny said. “If it turns out to be true, that’s pretty diabolical for her,” Brady said. Johnny explained that they intended to confront Sophia. Brady cautioned Johnny and Chanel to wait for evidence because he was worried about how Sophia would respond.
When Johnny mentioned Tesoro’s parentage, Brady told them about the DNA test. “So that rules out Tate as the father,” Johnny said. Chanel noted that if Sophia had written the letter, then she had lied about being Tesoro’s mother to prevent Johnny and Chanel from adopting a baby. After a moment, Brady muttered, “Unless.” Brady noted that it was possible that Tate was not the father of Sophia’s baby.
At the hospital, Sarah asked Kayla for advice as a colleague about her predicament with Sophia. Sarah confirmed that Sophia had lied about the sex of the baby, and Kayla admitted she had known that. “Did you also know that she gave birth earlier than she claimed?” Sarah asked. Kayla shook her head no. Sarah told Kayla that Sophia was the mother who had dropped off her baby at the firehouse. Kayla said that Steve and Brady had had the same theory, but that a DNA test had disproved it. Sarah said she knew about the DNA test.
“So I decided to confront Sophia directly. You know, assuming that she lied, I felt a responsibility as a doctor and as a mother to make sure her baby was in good hands,” Sarah said. Sarah explained that Sophia had been shocked by the results, but she had been adamant that she was Tesoro’s mother. “And ultimately, she admitted that Tate must not be the father,” Sarah said. Sarah told Kayla that Sophia had given her a DNA sample to prove that she was Tesoro’s mother, and Sarah confirmed the sample was with the lab.
“I pray that Sophia comes to her senses and tells Tate that he isn’t the father of her baby,” Sarah said. Sarah noted that she was struggling to keep the truth from Brady and Tate. Kayla argued that they had both pushed their ethical boundaries and that they could not tell anyone the truth if the sample confirmed that Sophia was the mother of Tesoro. Brady stepped off the elevator, and he approached the women. Brady asked Sarah to test Sophia’s work apron to confirm whether she was Tesoro’s mother.
Sarah admitted they were already running a test with Sophia’s DNA. Confused, Brady asked why. Sarah looked at her tablet at the test results. “Tesoro is not your grandson,” Kayla said. Brady argued that he was concerned that Sophia had lied about her baby’s paternity. “If we could tell you more information about Sophia, we would, but based on these results, all we can tell you is that Tesoro is not your grandson, and Tate is not his father,” Sarah said. Brady nodded. “But you didn’t say anything about Sophia not being the mother,” Brady said. Sarah and Kayla exchanged a look, but they said nothing.
In the Hernandez kitchen, Leo told Javi that his source at social services had no information about Johnny and Chanel or any of the other prospective adoptive parents for Tesoro. Javi said he still hoped that Johnny and Chanel would get to adopt Tesoro so that he would remain in their lives. With a grin, Leo said he hoped that they would still have Tesoro for Halloween. Leo and Javi both admitted that they had bought a costume for Tesoro, and they agreed that they loved one another’s firefighter and pirate costumes. Leo took a picture of the three of them with Tesoro in his firefighter costume.
In the dorms, Aaron told Tate about his job working as a Halloween ghost tour guide in Salem. Aaron asked about Tate’s bad mood, and Tate said his relationship with Holly was over. “I mean it this time. I’ve lost her. And it’s all my fault,” Tate said. “Honestly, it’s probably for the best,” Aaron said. Upset, Tate yelled at Aaron for believing the rumor about Johnny. Aaron apologized. With a sigh, Tate apologized for lashing out because he was upset about Holly.
When Aaron encouraged Tate to win Holly back, Tate said no. “I don’t deserve her,” Tate said. Aaron asked what had happened, and Tate filled him in on the series of events leading up to the fire. Tate lamented that he was spending his first year of college obsessing over his child. “Sophia is never going to tell me the truth about the baby. I just can’t keep fighting her,” Tate said. Aaron urged Tate to forget the past and move on with his life.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Holly talked to Nicole on the phone about packing for her flight to Paris that morning. Although Holly sounded upbeat, her smile faded as she ended the call. Ari walked in with the bag of clothes from the dry cleaner, and Holly thanked her for her help. “Obviously, I wish so much that you’d reconsider, but I get why you feel you need to do this,” Ari said. Holly apologized to Ari for having left her behind to face the aftermath. Holly said she had written a letter for the disciplinary committee to take all the blame and protect Ari. The women hugged. Ari said she was sorry about Tate.
“I always imagined that you two were meant to be,” Ari said. Ari added that after Tate’s behavior, she agreed with Holly’s decision to move on. “You’re going to find somebody for sure. Someone who knows how lucky they are to have you,” Ari said. Holly smiled, and she complained that she was bummed she had lost all her text messages and photos. Ari argued that the phone had to have fallen in the trash can that had caught fire.
“But I’m still going to ask Sophia, just to see if she remembers seeing it anywhere,” Ari said. “Sophia? Why would you ask her?” Holly said. Holly had no memory of Sophia having been in the dorm room with them the night of the blackout and fire. After packing the last of Holly’s clothes, Holly and Ari promised to keep in touch. “Paris will be lucky to have you,” Ari said. “And do know that Salem is really lucky to have you,” Holly countered.
After Ari left the mansion, she went to deliver a sweatshirt to Tate in his dorm room. “Holly found it after the fire and wanted to give it to you,” Ari said. Tate stared sadly at the shirt. “I half expected Sophia to be in here with you,” Ari joked. Tate stressed that there was nothing between him and Sophia, but Ari said she was not so sure.
“Just so you know, I feel awful for kissing Sophia. The truth is, I did it because–” Tate started. Ari cut him off to argue that she knew that Tate had done more than kiss Sophia. Tate stressed that when he had admitted that he had cheated on Holly, it was because he had kissed Sophia.
“You didn’t tell Holly that I slept with Sophia, did you?” Tate asked. “Not exactly,” Ari said. Ari explained that Holly had overheard Sophia hinting that she had slept with Tate. “I just confirmed that it was probably true,” Ari said. Frustrated, Tate said he needed to clear things up with Holly. Ari told Tate to hurry because Holly had dropped out and was going to catch a flight to Paris.
Holly was sitting in the Kiriakis living room when Johnny and Chanel walked in. “If you’re here to give me a hard time, no need,” Holly said. Holly explained that she was dropping out of school and moving to Paris. “We don’t believe you sent those photos,” Johnny said. “We think you were set up,” Chanel added. Johnny told Holly that they had learned that the photos had been sent while she had been in the hospital, and they asked Holly if anyone could have taken her phone.
After a moment, Holly noted that Ari had told her that Sophia had been there that night. Johnny and Chanel exchanged a knowing smile at one another. “You don’t think?” Holly said. “That is exactly what we think,” Chanel confirmed.
