What to expect on Days of our Lives

After Hope (Kristian Alfonso) told Bo (Peter Reckell) that John (the late Drake Hogestyn) died trying to get the drug that ultimately saved Bo's life, Bo was insistent that he had to go to John's funeral. Unfortunately, his doctor didn't want to allow it, saying Bo's body still needed to recover more. Hope also encouraged him to stay put.
Bo just doesn't care. He insists to Hope that they return to Salem so they can say goodbye to John, so Hope makes it happen. They appear at John's memorial toward the end and reunite with a grieving Marlena (Deidre Hall) after she gives a heartfelt eulogy for her husband.
Bo also gets up to pay tribute to the man who saved his life and sees the family and friends he'd been separated from for the last decade. He talks about John from the heart before being reunited with his loved ones for the first time since waking from a two-year coma.
There isn't a dry eye in St. Luke's courtyard as one hero comes home and another is laid to rest. It's the circle of life in Salem, not long before another life begins.
Hope for Johnny and Chanel

Chanel (Raven Bowens) is by Johnny's (Carson Boatman) side throughout the service and remains his confidante when it's all over. She definitely still has baby fever as she made it a point to question Tate (Leo Howard) about the baby and whether he and Sophia (Rachel Boyd) have found adoptive parents yet. Knowing that they have not seems to spark something in Chanel.
She gets Johnny to open up about his feelings and fears. Perhaps she will get him to see that he can be a good father after all, despite how his own life began, as well as the actions of his own father.
Knowing what has been bothering Johnny may be all Chanel needs to talk some sense into him. Perhaps Johnny and Chanel's dream of becoming parents doesn't have to end after all. At least that seems to be Chanel's hope.
